Today I am thrilled to share the gorgeous, cosy, sunrise engagement shoot of Aaron and Katie.
Images were captured by Nick Rutter Photography.
The couple are getting married today at The Kings Arms Hotel in Christchurch, Dorset.
The engagement shoot was at a National Trust site called Badbury Rings near Wimborne in Dorset.
Badbury Rings is an Iron Age hill fort in east Dorset, England. It was in the territory of the Durotriges.
In the Roman era a temple was located immediately west of the fort, and there was a Romano-British town known as Vindocladia a short distance to the south-west.
Photographer Nick says of the shoot…
“Every day we had booked in for the engagement shoot, it rained, so I suggested we try the saturday before the wedding as the forecast looked good.”
“But I had a sunset engagement in the afternoon, so suggested a sunrise engagement shoot, which I loved the idea of. Luckily the sun did it’s job very well!”
Bride Katie says…
“We met 5 years ago in December and both love the winter so a winter wedding was the right choice for us.”
“Bradbury Rings was one of the first places we went to together so a good choice for the engagement shoot. as both local, and we love Christchurch.”
“We also spend a good amount of time there and its where I used to walk the dog with the family.”
Thank you so much to Nick for sharing this lovely sunrise engagement shoot.
The light is so beautiful, and there is something magical about being all wrapped up cosy and warm against the elements that exudes romance.
Also the obvious passion, love and contentment that the couple have is so evident, and radiates from the images.
