Today I am thrilled to share the stunning urban engagement shoot of Ian and Amy captured by Chris of XtraOrdinary Photo.
On a bitterly cold day where the temperature struggled to 4 degrees the couple were amazing and battled through the cold to get some fantastic portraits..
Chris launched the business along with his brother Sean and their father back in 2008.
Chris had always had an interest in photography, although carrying his Dad’s 35m SLR with a 90-300mm zoom around his neck at the age of 9 did sometimes feel like torture.
Xtraordinary Photography is about; fun, relaxing and beautiful imagery and since those beginnings in 2008 XtraOrinary Photography has gone on to develop the brand that exists today.
He loves Dr Pepper, Parma Violets and pineapple juice but hates coleslaw (even though he likes all of the ingredients separately), traffic jams and any kind of celebrity reality TV!
The couple are Ian & Amy- they’re due to marry in May this year and have been together for five years.
They also have a beautiful little boy called Theo who Chris had photographed previously which is why they booked him for their wedding.
The wedding will be a vintage theme, navy blues, white flowers and beautiful dresses.
The imagery for their urban engagement shoot was shot on the Newcastle/Gateshead Quayside.
They used the graffiti wall around the Sage for something a bit different and colourful which captured the artistic nature of Amy who is a graphic designer.
Thanks to Chris for sharing this colourful, fun shoot and I am sure the Wedding is going to be stunning. I love the edginess of the graffiti against the neutral tones of the architecture around, just brings the images to life along with the megawatt smiles.
