Today I am excited to share a gorgeous vintage gothic shoot at Kelham Hall that spotlights on the work of some incredible creatives and showcases the stunning Midnight Collection of designer Caroline Chamberlain.
Images were captured by Harvey & Harvey Photography.
Kelham Hall & Country Park, the venue for the shoot is a beautiful Victorian stately home located in the Trent Valley and nestling within 44 acres of stunning parkland.
Caroline Chamberlain of The Bridal Boutique says of her gowns, and the shoot….
“The Midnight Collection consists of 4 dramatic Bridal Gowns, all quite structured and very dramatic.”
“The idea of the gowns came to me when I was asked by Harvey and Harvey photography to take part in a Vintage Gothic photo shoot at Kelham Hall.”
“I knew initially I wanted to expand on my current collection The Secret Garden, which is a collection of 6 Gowns, all inspired by nature and a more natural look.”
“Having used floral cottons, soft tulle, silks and chantilly laces for this collection I thought the vintage gothic shoot offered the perfect opportunity to design 4 contrasting gowns inspired by the atmospherics of the beautiful Kelham Hall.”
“I felt the look for Kelham needed to be a little more structured, and a little darker with fuller skirted gowns adding to the dramatic effect, along with a richer colour palette.”
“This resulted in the use of gorgeous black/red silks, gold and blue hues contrasted with Ivory.”
Claire from Harvey & Harvey Photography says…
“We met Caroline Chamberlain of the The Bridal Boutique at a wedding fair last year and we just clicked instantly with our own love of vintage and creativity and her inspirational dress designing with a vintage twist.”
“We were so excited as Caroline started to design her collection and the sketches and fabrics started to emerge – her work is just outstanding.”
“We had visited Kelham Hall recently too and just knew we had to do a shoot there with the magnificent Gothic architecture and space.”
“Jennifer Hollingsworth of Flowers by Suzanne worked alongside Caroline to provide the beautiful bouquets which were styled for each dress and look, and we have to say that they were just stunning with the Handmade Tiara providing stunning accessories.”
“Behind the scenes we had a fantastic team of Models, Hairdresser’s (Barbarellas) and Make Up Artist (Belle -Mairee)- without which the shoot wouldn’t of happened – and we all had so much fun!
Thank you to Harvey & Harvey Photography for sharing this beautiful vintage gothic shoot and the teams outstanding collaborative work.
I am a huge fan of coloured wedding gowns and the vibrant tones & jewel colours are just breathtaking.
Such opulence in the styling and the perfect compliment to the magnificence of the venue, and the bridal accessories, floristry and beauty looks are just stunning.
