Today I would love to share some inspiration for a luxurious and elegant plum Wedding theme.
Plum is such a warming colour… comforting infact, and fits so well as we enter the season of colder mornings ad changing leaves.
The shade has many layers and contrasting those to bring a Wedding pallette together can work really well.
As a prelude to your Event Wedding stationery in plum tones could be sent to your Guests and this can be followed through with On the Day stationery.
For your ceremony and your reception decor you may wish to start with a pale base shade and work up using accents of the stronger plum hues whatever is your preference.
The Bride could be in daring plum or white and have her bridesmaids in harmonising tones with beautiful plum gowns or in subtle accessories such as hair accessories or bags.
Groom and groomsmen can use the shade as an accent colour in a tie, bow tie or buttonhole.
Popular flowers for ceremony, personal bouquet and reception flowers in plum hues are plum dahlias, calla lilies, plum gerbera daisies, carnations, tulips and alstromeria.
Plum flowers are supposed to signify perseverance, strength and hope which is quite important within a marriage.
The fruit can be incorporated into use as a simple place setting or also as filler for centrepiece arrangements that cuts down on the requirement for so many flowers.
The use of pom poms, tissue paper streamers and bunting in co-ordinating shades can be useful to accessorise empty space such as behind a Cake table or Candy Buffet.
Plum is a lovely colour for an autumn or winter wedding transforming a blank canvas to vibrant and bold and I share a Moodboard to give you a little inspiration for your look.
I also want to share a few products that I think would make great additions to the look of a plum inspired Big Day.
