A beautiful Country House Wedding in Wales with a Stella York Gown

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Country House Wedding in Wales with a Stella York Gown.

The couple are Natalie and Luke and they were married at Coed-Y-Mwstwr Country Hotel in Bridgend in August 2016

Images were captured by Lewis Fackrell Photography.

Lewis Fackrell is a UK & Destination Wedding Photographer based in Cardiff, South Wales.

Photography has been a big part of his life for as long as he can remember.

He loves the affection, emotional connection, endless happiness and the love radiating from an image placed in a lasting album, and there’s nothing more he enjoys photographing…

His style is creative, natural and photojournalistic.

He shares his recollections of the couple and their day…

“The wedding of Natalie & Luke took part in the most amazing venue of Coed-y-Mwstwr situated on the hillside overlooking the town of Bridgend, South Wales in August.”

“The day started out at the salon where Natalie and her bridesmaids had their hair and make-up complete, and the bride who was very cool and relaxed, it really gave a great sense of what sort of day was to come…”

“The girls were all keen to have their photos taken and interact with the camera, even without makeup on!”

“I then joined the groom and his groomsmen who on the other hand… Luke was then surprised to arrive at the wedding in style in a stunning yellow Bentley.”

“The wedding at Coed-y-Mwstwr was quite the emotional event.”

“The groom, the bride and the father of the bride were all freely displaying their emotions throughout the entire day, with tears flowing down their faces.”

“There was just so much emotion and joy at this wedding that even I began to feel that little emotional. Beautiful, their true colours shining through and it was so pleasing to witness.”

“Having a quick moment to sneak off away from guests with the newly married Mr & Mrs Jones following the ceremony, we made the most of the surrounding area, with stunning scenery and crisp greens of the trees, freshly cut lawn, and of course a gorgeous couple.”

“Natalie and Luke truly were the model couple, easy to photograph, great laugh and not to mention fantastic friends and family that also made my work much easier! I think I certainly made a few friends that day…”

I hand over to beautiful Bride, Natalie…

How did you meet?

“Luke was one of Martyns best mates (Martyn being the brides brother), so we met through him.”

“We secretly dated for a little while as we knew Martyn wouldn’t be that happy about it.”

“However Martyn ended up being best man, so he must be happy with it 7.5 years on.”

Tell us about the Engagement?

“We went to Mexico in 2014, to celebrate me qualifying as a mental health nurse, Luke proposed there.”

“He wanted to propose on the beach, but when we got there the beach  was in total darkness and we couldn’t see in front of our faces.”

“So apparently he flapped, and he ended up proposing by the pool whilst brushing the sand off my feet.”

Tell us about your wedding planning journey

“It was a bit daunting at first as we had absolutely no idea where to start and I am a bit of a control freak!”

“From sorting out the legal aspects down to all the little extras like decorations and who to book etc. Pinterest basically helped me plan my wedding!”

“I loved the platform! So many amazing ideas, it got me quite excited.”

” Plus everyone we booked from the photographer, to the venue, and decoration company were amazing and made the whole process so much easier.”

“Surprisingly there were absolutely no hiccups on the day!! Result!”

What was the best bit of your day?

“That’s a difficult question, it’s hard to think of one single part as the whole day was amazing and memorable.”

“But it was probably the first sight of one another at the aisle and the whole emotion of it all, particularly with the Cambrian Male Voice Choir singing in the background.”

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

To not care what other people think say or do,  as you can’t please everyone. Make the day about yourselves and enjoy every minute as it goes so quick.

Thank you so much to Lewis for sharing this beautiful Country house wedding.

Such pretty rustic styling running throughout the day and a spectacular location to start the journey together as man and wife.
