Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Devon Elopement with hints of purple and Art Deco.

Emma says of the couples day…
It was a gorgeous hot day in Devon for Jane and Clives Big Day.
Elopement’s really make me feel a part of the wedding as I get to have more one to one time with a couple so it becomes much more personal.
Jane and Clive’s style for the day was so creative, I loved it! Jane has a love for skulls and crowns and incorporated that stylishly throughout.
After the ceremony the couple enjoyed some champagne, along with some wedding cake!
I then took the couple around the grounds of Burgh, which offers so many different back drops, alongside the couples private garden and along the cliff tops too.
Then there was a quick change into evening attire and we continued to photograph in the ballroom, where they would later dine.
Beautiful Bride Jane says of the couples love story…
How did you meet?
We met on E harmony online dating website, my husband Clive was the first man met on there, and after that there was no one else!
Tell us about the Proposal…
Clive proposed up the Eiffel Tower on my 59th Birthday.
He didn’t give me a ring, he gave me the most beautiful hand made necklace that he had designed and had especially made, and proposed by writing me a most wonderful poem.
Tell us about your Wedding Planning experience…
We arranged our Devon elopement wedding within the year.
We had already been to see Burgh Island, an iconic art deco landmark on its own tidal island, surrounded by golden beaches and beautiful blue seas.
Built in 1929, and extended in 1932 its now restored to its ’30s glamour.
We knew instantly that we wanted to get married there, it’s just the most magical place!
We eloped with just myself and Clive at our wedding.
We didn’t really have a theme…Just pretty and happy.
Tell us the best bit of your day…
The best bit of the day was the actual ceremony, it was SO lovely and very emotional.
We both wrote our own vows, but could hardly say them for crying and laughing!
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Well I think my advice would be always respect each other, that’s so important, and compromise is very important in a good and happy relationship.
