Today I am delighted to share a beautiful Hertfordshire Wedding with vibrant autumnal colours and rustic detail.
Brenda and David got married in Bishop Storford on the 13th of September 2014.
Images of the day were captured by Rebecca Prigmore Photography.
Rebecca Prigmore is a wedding & portrait photographer based in the east of England.
She studied a degree in photography at Nottingham Trent University, and there she realised she loved to photograph people.
Since then her career took her to London where she assisted many editorial and commercial photographers over 7 years, shooting celebrities, kids, interiors, fashion, music and much more, before moving on to shooting her own commissions for magazine clients.
Along side the editorial work, she began to get wedding commissions, and once she moved back to her roots on the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire/Essex borders, and started planning a wedding herself, she knew that what she wanted were photographs that captured the whole event, the people chatting, family laughing, and quirky little moments.
She says…”I realised I wanted to offer people something fun and fresh for their special days, and it grew into a totally new love of photography for me.”
“The two sides of my career compliment each other well, both requiring an eye for the little details, an ability to find something special under pressure and with time restraints, and to be able to capture the moment. That absolute killer moment, big or small.”
Rebecca shares here recollections of the couples Big Day…
“Brenda got ready with her bridesmaids at a nearby hotel before she headed off to the church in a cream convertable beetle.
The ceremony took place at the Parish of Our Lady Fatima and St Thomas More Church in Harlow, a gorgeous building with amazing stained glass windows and it was a moving catholic service.
All of the guests headed to the St Barnabas Centre afterwards with Brenda and David following in the Beetle.
We captured some couples portraits around the took some photos around the grounds of the St Barnabas Center and the nearby church there, with some group photos in the garden of St Barnabus Centre in the sunshine.
Lots of family and friends attended the couples nuptuals, some having traveled from abroad to attend.
Reception details included orange and autumnal colours in the flowers displayed in jugs on the tables, beautiful wooden engraved hearts
with the wedding details on, tables named after flowers, and a jenga set for guests to write some advice on for the happy couple.
Brenda surprised David later on with an outfit change into a traditional Sri Lankan outfit as a nod to her heritage which was utterly stunning.
The couple then cut the cake and the band started for the first dance to get the celebrations going…
Thank you to Rebecca for sharing this stunning Hertfordshire Wedding.
Autumn is such a pretty season and the beautiful reds, oranges, browns and yellows are just wonderful in a wedding palette.
Co-ordinated with hessian touches, and wooden details such as the wooden hearts and the Jenga wedding advice guest book it blends to bring some seasonal magic and a gorgeous celebration.
