Today I am thrilled to share an this beautiful, and incredibly intimate wedding at Bluestone Bay in Tasmania.
Images were captured by Gemma Clarke Photography.

Gemma says of the day…
“It does not surprise me that a couple who met rock climbing would ask us to climb over rocks to get to their ceremony location and take a 4WD only route for more than half an hour.”
“I might be a little dramatic here but I was less scared standing in the middle of Bridge Street in the city for a portrait session in peak rush hour.”
“What was guaranteed was a location like no other and without another soul in sight!”
“It was truly beautiful and only a few close friends were there to be a part of the nuptials.”
“Tamzen and Sam also brought their almost one year old little girl Violet to celebrate. She was certainly attached to mummy all day long!”
“Tamzen is an incredible floral designer with Alba & Ebon and she created her own arrangement which I fell totally in love with.”
“We spent a small time at their holiday ‘shack’ near Freycinet National Park before heading on the 4WD track to Bluestone Bay on the Freycinet Peninsula.”
“My always amazing sister/celebrant, Marnie Bicknell officiated the ceremony and it was certainly memorable with the documents being signed on the rocks – no way we were bringing a table and chairs across those rocks!
“Tamzen’s stunning dress was from ASOS – Oasis Oriental Bird Dress.”
“The couples gorgeous rings were by Hobart Jewellery designer Melany Franklin.”
“Don’t forget to check out Tamzen’s beautiful floral, photographic and design work at Alba & Ebon.”
I hand over to gorgeous Bride Tamzen…
“We have been together for quite a few years and after exploring the world together, developing a business and having a child we felt it was time to celebrate the love we have by getting hitched.”
“We wanted a small personal ceremony with our closest friends then a party the following day to celebrate with 60 of our family and friends.”
“This way we had a very personal, quiet day for the ceremony and then a larger relaxed party day for the reception.”
“This worked well for us and it made a weekend of the event which being on the Freycinet Peninsula meant guests could enjoy a beautiful weekend away.”
“We as a couple like things simple and down to earth.”
“The location was special as we had spent time there rock climbing when we were first seeing each other, and when we were looking for a site for the ceremony we had an encounter with a family of humpback whales there….so that sealed the deal!”
“It was extra special having our daughter Violet there as it was as much about celebrating how much we love our beautiful little family.”
“The guests were some of our dearest friends, we feel so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives.”
Thank you so much to Gemma for sharing this really special intimate Wedding.
Sometimes its lovely to see Love as it is, stripped back and what really matters.
Tamzen and Sam wanted to their Day to be simple with no fuss, but wanted an amazing visual memory of that, together with their beautiful daughter as a family.
Gemma’s images really capture that, and what a stunning location to celebrate.
