Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful intimate Garden Wedding in Catalonia with an Otaduy Gown.
Images were captured by Kepa Fuentes Fotografia.
Kepa Fuentes is a Wedding Photographer based in Barcelona specialising in documentary photography
He says of his work…”As a wedding photographer I love telling stories, simply.”
“I like to be an invisible spectator and capture reality, the moment, people and their emotions.”
I”t was a pleasure to work with Helena and Pere, a lovely couple who held their wedding in a beautiful place in Barcelona called Masia Ribas.”
“Francisco Ribas built Masia Ribas in 1779 in the town of Gavà, on the land called “de la Roca de la Parroquia de Gavà”.
“It is a clear example of a typical Catalan country house, with con sgraffito on the facade, a characteristic decorative element of the 17th and 18th centuries inspired by baroque motifs.”
“The house, with its rectangular floor plan and two floors plus an attic, attracts the visitor’s attention with its four-gabled roof and arched veranda.”
“Its walls have witnessed hundreds of stories, some represented in the old photographs that welcome visitors at the entrance to the house.”
“This was the perfect location for a beautiful July Wedding under the Spanish sun, and create their own history.”
I hand over to beautiful Bride, Helena…
“I met Pere almost 10 years ago at a New Year Eve’s party which one of our mutual friend organised.”
“It wasn’t love at first sight but it’s definitely the love of my life!”
“Fast forward from that time and our wedding day was unique.”
“I was telling our guests on the day how happy I was to finally marry the man I love.”
“Everything went perfectly, and even better than we expected.”
“We asked our best friend to be the marriage officiant and Gordo, our dog, brought the wedding rings.”
“It was a very emotional and meaningful ceremony, as well as the cocktail afterwards, with an endless number of hugs with family and friends.”
“Our first dance was on “You Never Can Tell”, the twist dance in Pulp Fiction.”
“The party wedding ended with all our guests dancing on “Amigos para siempre” (Friends for ever) at 5:30am.”
“From the ceremony to the party, our wedding was a huge celebration!”
Isn’t it lovely?
Love the relaxed air of the day and the simplicity yet elegance of the Brides gown which compliments the garden setting so well.
Such a stunning celebration where the focus is firmly on family, fun and being together making memories.
