Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful relaxed rustic wedding in Yorkshire in a Papakata tent.
Images were captured by Colin Murdoch Studio.
The Colin Murdoch Studio are Colin and Heather, a husband and wife photography team.
Working closely together, they take photographs that tell the story of your wedding day in an unobtrusive, natural style that captures moments as they
happen, as well as creating beautiful, natural portraits of the two of you to treasure in the years to come.
Based in Skipton, North Yorkshire they’re well placed to cover weddings throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire but they also happily photograph
weddings throughout the UK.
Heather says of the couple and their day…
“Kaydie and Tom came to us after another photographer kindly recommended us to them.”
“Their wedding was a beautiful, relaxed, boho kind of affair at Brook Farm Wedding Field in Kelbrook, on the North Yorkshire/Lancashire
“It was a great new venue to photograph, although sadly they aren’t taking any more wedding bookings for now.”
“Kaydie and Tom legally married at Skipton Registry Office before their official wedding day, but this meant that they could have a much more
personal ceremony with a celebrant, on what they considered to be their ‘real’ wedding day, celebrating with all of their friends and family.”
“Although our photography style is mostly documentary, blending into the background and capturing what happens throughout the day, we also usually spend time a bit of time with our couples (30 minutes or so) for bride and groom portraits.”
“We believe it’s what completes your wedding photography, but everyone is different, and Kaydie and Tom really wanted almost purely
documentary photography for their day, aside from a few quick group/family photos, so that’s what we did on this occasion.”
“I started the morning over at Tom’s parents’ house with the boys, whilst Colin was with Kaydie and the girls.”
“I vividly remember the attention to detail in Kaydie and Tom’s case, and the reception venue decor was just beautiful with many natural rustic touches.”
“I also just LOVED their wedding day attire; Kaydie’s beautiful Mori Lee dress suited her perfectly and she looked stunning, whilst Tom and the
groomsmen wore tweeds with bowties and braces – oh so dapper!”
“Oh, and check out Tom’s transport to the venue…if you’re a Bond fan like me, you’ll just love it!”
Thank you so much to Colin and Heather for sharing this stunning Rustic Wedding.
From the gorgeous wildflower bouquet and table flowers, to the gypsophilia in the brides hair, the boho relaxed air of the day is evident.
Love the Lindybop floral bridesmaids gowns too, so pretty.
The rustic styling is carried through to with wood, twine and lace being prominent styling features.
Also really love the beers in a wheelbarrow, great alternative drinks reception and marshmallows on the fire as fun canapes.
What a glorious rustic wedding celebration.
