Today I am thrilled to share this classic elegant and stylish Cornish Wedding with cream accents at The Alverton in Truro.

Images were captured by Andrew George Photography.

Cornish wedding

Andrew loves to photograph weddings as they give him an opportunity to do another thing he loves, which is to photograph people. Capturing people’s real emotion and happiness in a documentary way is what its all about for him, and what makes him tick.

His approach to shooting weddings is to allow everything to happen naturally. He works really hard to capture these authentic candid moments that happen all through a wedding. Nobody is asked to pose and nothing is staged instead capturing memorable moments and really amazing photos.

He says of the couples stylish Cornish wedding day…

This wedding was a real beauty! The Alverton Hotel in Truro is such a great place to have a wedding, and I love shooting there.

The wedding ceremony was held in The Alverton’s Great Hall, a really dramatic space that allowed me to be creative with the photographs.

The whole day just flowed naturally, perfect for my style of documentary photography.

Everywhere I turned there was something to photograph and all the guests were so happy to be a part of this special day and to be there witnessing Jenni and Piers getting married.

The Alverton also has some great outside space – especially under an amazing tree. The canopy gave some really lovely light, and the result was a really great black and white photograph of the couple.

I hand over to beautiful Bride Jenni…

How did you meet?

We met at University and that was it! We have not been apart since!

Tell us about the Proposal…

The Proposal was so unexpected! The emotion and love of it all makes the whole things a complete blur.

Obviously I said yes. It was the best thing ever!

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

We started with people and making a list. Our family and friends mean everything to us and the day was always going to involve them massively.

The Venue was the next major part. Finding somewhere that we felt at home was important. The Alverton Hotel ticked all of the right boxes

Any special touches/DIY?

Our friends and our family were our specials touches. Lots of them helped out with every part of the wedding.

We mixed having a DIY wedding with having a wedding at a really wonderful venue.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

We did not really have a theme as such. But I guess if pushed our theme was do it with style.

Little touches that are subtle are what it is all about for us.

What was the best bit of your day?

There are just too many to mention we could never choose! All of it!

The dancing at the end was pretty special.

Is there anything you would do differently?

Maybe slow the clock down a little bit! It all went so fast.

But no everything was just perfect. We would do it all again!

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

Enjoy every moment, because it goes quick… really it does. Don’t worry about the little things.

Know that everyone there is there for you and they cannot wait to see you get married! This feeling is the best in the world.
