Matthew says of the couples day…
When I first opened the email enquiry that Stacey had sent through with details about the plans for a relaxed festival themed wedding at The Wellbeing Farm I was SO EXCITED and knew this wedding would be absolutely brilliant.
I hadn’t photographed at The Wellbeing Farm before but having seen some previews of awesome quirky weddings I was honestly jumping around for joy when Stacey & Matt decided to book.
I started photography on the day when I met Matt and his groomsmen at the farm before guests started arriving.
I did actually arrive early as I wanted to have a good look round with it being a new venue to me and I was super excited to get an early peek in at the famous bowtie wearing Llamas.
Stacey and Matt had both decided that they didn’t want any photographs of the morning and instead I stayed slightly later into the evening to capture some of the evening dance floor antics!
Once guests started to arrive in full flow we headed over to the barn ready for the ceremony and what an incredible place to get married.
Obviously I knew it was going to be a little “outdoorsy” and rustic with it being a barn but I must say I was astonished at how beautiful it is inside.
Everything fits in so well and it was perfect for the festival theme complete with rustic decor and a splash of pastel coloured decor.
When Stacey arrived the rain had started but even that couldn’t keep her excited smile away as she gout out the car and headed into the barn.
Luckily the weather was on side and after the ceremony the rain had gone and we even had some gorgeous sunny spells and a rainbow later on in the day!
Everyone headed outside to explore the quirky outdoor space at the venue.
Spoilt for choice with incredible views, garden games, ice cream and not forgetting Maurice the rodeo sheep who arrived not long after.
I spent a little while capturing some documentary images of everyone mingling and having fun before I whisked Stacey & Matt away for 10 minutes just for some relaxed portraits of them both with just a short walk around the farm.
Obviously we had to sneak a couple of shots with the Llamas and Donkeys. It’s not every day you get to have your photograph taken with bowtie wearing farm animals!
The whole afternoon was really chilled with everyone seen having a great time which is what Stacey and Matt really wanted for the day.
I think its safe to say it was a huge success.
After the lovely hog roast and pizza Stacey and Matt continued with the relaxed feel and had decided not to have a traditional first dance or cake cutting.
Instead they had a brilliant live band and an amazing cheese cart (I love cheese!!).
It was an incredible way to finish the wedding day.
