A fun Australian backyard Carnival Wedding

Today I am thrilled to share this incredibly fun Australian backyard Carnival Wedding.

Kel and Allan got married last October and held an epic celebration in their own backyard that was pack full of excitement, smiles, and togetherness.

Images were captured by Leoni Bolt Photography.

I hand you over to gorgeous Bride Kel…

Tell us a wee bit about yourselves?

“We are Kel and Allan, along with or kids Balin 12, Trixie 11, Axel 1, plus Howard the dog, Venom the snake, and 2 turtles we got for Christmas.”

“Allan is a PE teacher, I’m a Maths teacher, Balin loves bugs and snakes, Trix didn’t know she was about to get the turtles she really wanted and Axel has already said his first words.”

How did you meet?

“I started teaching at the school Allan worked at and I did my very best to get him to notice me.”

“He didn’t, so I pashed (kissed) him at the staff Christmas party and then he noticed me quick-smart.”

Tell us about the Engagement?

“The ring arrived in the mail and Allan had plans of a grand proposal but then decided he couldn’t wait so kicked the kids out of the bedroom and asked me to marry him.”

“I said yes. We told the kids. Everyone cheered!”

Tell us about your wedding planning journey

“I planned it all and roped in a few mates to make sure it all went to plan on the day.”

“The whole carnival had to be set up by 10.30am for the ceremony at 11am and myself and Allan and kids had to be all dressed up and ready to go as well.”

What was the best bit of your day?

“Everything. It was bloody amazing!”

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

“Chill out. Have fun and just enjoy it. Napkin colours really don’t matter.”

I would also love to share the amazing video by Lady Gypsy Films…

Thank you so much to Leoni for allowing me to share her fabulous images and the couple for allowing us a glimpse of their utterly awesome Carnival Wedding.

Bursting with colour and fun at every angle, this is the ultimate in expressing your personality on your Wedding Day.
