She says of the couples Village Fair inspired Wedding…
The proposal came in August 2018 and the couple got married on the 13th of July 2019 in the garden of Bride Annie’s childhood home ‘Honeyend’
In describing their wedding day the three words that explain it best are just SO MUCH LOVE!
The official theme of the day was village fete but also an overwhelming theme of the day was how amazing our friends and family were.
The Big day was a real DIY wedding and any contributions people wanted to make were embraced and welcomed.
The Brides gown was off the hanger from Monsoon with no alterations other than being taken up a few inches by the Mums.
All the flowers were grown and arranged by family and friends, and a lot of help for the button holes, bouquets and flower crowns came from a family friend Rose Preston who did the most fantastic job!
The most delicious canapés made by the Sanderson family! Picnic baskets for the wedding breakfast were put together by the couple but were brimming with treats made or grown by various people.
Delicious Prosecco Ice cream was served from a tricycle by Dreams of Chocolate with home made HEART SHAPED meringues made with Honeyend eggs by the Brides talented cousin Sally.
There was also a locally sourced hog roast in the evening by Hog Roast of Gloucestershire. with homemade Honeyend made apple juice.
For ll the thirsty guests there was also beer designed and brewed in the south of France by Brides sister and brother in law, Rosie and Jonathan who are FAB Perigord, which was transported over by the Brides uncle Archie, along with all the French wine!!
There was 4 wedding cakes
Two were made by the Grooms auntie Jenny – fruit cake and a coffee and walnut, a raspberry and white chocolate by the Brides cousin Sally, and a gin and tonic cake by a close friend Anna… all delicious and beautiful.
For the savoury lovers there was also a tower of cheese which was a gift from the Grooms Godparents Irene and Alan to add a tasty edge to their village fair inspired wedding day.
