A gorgeous Essex Winter Wedding at Gaynes Park with maroon and white details

Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous Essex Winter Wedding at Gaynes Park with maroon and white details.

Images were captured by Nathalie Delente Photography.

Nathalie Delene is an Essex based wedding and portrait photographer coving, Essex, the UK na dDestination wedding photography.

She feels passionately about producing timeless, atmospheric and creative fine art images that capture the emotion, the smiles, tears and laughter and most importantly the connection between two people in love.

She says of the couple and their day…

I had the pleasure of photographing Alex and Alice get married at the gorgeous Gaynes Park in March, in the company of their friends and family, and of course Ayla, their beloved dog.

Alice got ready in the gorgeous cottage adjacent to the venue, with her bridesmaids and mother on hand to do the all important last minute preparations.

The cottage is decorated with stylish features like an amazing pink neon sign, and I couldn’t resist getting a picture of it!

The cottage is touched with Moroccan inspired decor, which makes perfect backdrops for colour infused photographs. and to me, it is the perfect, homely place for your preparations and to retreat to with your new husband.

I hand over to beautiful Bride Alice to share the couples story…

Where did you meet?

We were in the same circle of friends for years, I’d always thought he was good looking but it never occurred to me that we would get married one day!

We’ve been together for five years now.

Tell us about the engagement…

We had gone to Amsterdam for my birthday, and had just finished a river boat tour with dinner.

Alex was adamant we had to go back to our hotel and made me leave the city early-which I was annoyed at because it was still early!

When we got back, he took me to a bench overlooking the canals and we watched the most beautiful sunset.

Just before the sun went down completely he got down on one knee and proposed! I cried and took nearly 5 minutes to answer him, I was so shocked!

Tell us about the wedding planning journey…

I started researching venues online, and ordering brochures. One day I came across Gaynes Park and booked a viewing.

It was the most perfect place, it had everything we wanted and suited our personalities.

Alex is very outdoorsy and the farm and fields surrounding it was perfect.

The wedding aisle was through a garden and the ceremony was in a beautiful orangery.

After that me and my mum went to wedding shows and found ideas of what we could do.

We booked the wedding 18 months ahead so we did a bit each month, and we did all the table decorations ourselves to save a little money.

What was the theme/colour palette of your day?

That was a hard one, I found it very hard to find bridesmaids dresses for a long time. We eventually found a maroon colour one I loved so we went from that.

I also had white and maroon flowers for my bouquet.

Alex didn’t want to wear a traditional suit so he had a tweed one which gave a more relaxed look.

What was the best bit about your day?

This is a tough one because the whole day was perfect! I think the most special part was walking down the aisle with my dad.

I couldn’t look at Alex to begin with because I thought id cry if I did! Our dog was there so  I focused on her!

Once I got into the orangery everyone else was a blur and all I saw was my husband to be! It was a moment I’ll never forget!

What advice would you give to couples getting married?

Everyone told me how fast the day will go and to just take a moment with your husband and soak it all in. This was so true!!

One minute it was 9am and I was having my hair and make up done, the next it was midnight and everyone was getting in taxis!

It was the best day of our lives but it went so fast!

After the meal take ten minutes together to just watch everyone having fun and soak it all up!

Once the evening party gets going everyone wants to talk to you and you wont see much of each other!

The morning after we laid in bed and reflected on the day, and how perfect it was.
