Today I am excited to share this gorgeous Fire Fighter themed Wedding Shoot in Richmond, Ontario.
The couple are Nancy and Peter and the stunning images were captured by Linda of Black Lamb Photography.
Linda Borrego is an Ottawa wedding photographer who has loved photography since she started shooting fashion shots of her Barbie dolls when she was a kid.
So, it was quite natural that she ended up specializing in photography in college.
Her second passion, travel, has taken her all over the world (24 countries) including living in South Korea and Japan.
She loves to photograph people in beautiful, fun & interesting locations. and fields, barns and anything rustic make her happy.
She is excited to meet with fun, down-to-earth couples who are up for anything in order to get those great shots, and if you are a Canada based couple she would love to be capturing your special day.
Linda says of the couples shoot…
“Having gotten married in Jamaica, Nancy and Peter felt like they were missing something important in their wedding photos: fire trucks.””
“Peter is a fire fighter, so it was important for them to include that aspect in their wedding photos.”
“By arranging an after wedding day photo session back home in Canada, they were able to incorporate this important aspect of their lives into their wedding photos.”
“They rented a vintage fire truck (1948) to be a prop in their photos and they used the fire truck at the fire hall where Peter works.”
“Peter dressed up in his formal fire uniform, as well as his fire fighting gear.”
“I loved the marrying of the old and the new in their after day wedding shoot with the modern and vintage trucks.”
“I was happy to help them to create their vision of something that is a big part of their lives.”
I now hand over to Bride Nancy to share her thoughts…
“Since we had a destination wedding we were unable to include the fire trucks in our original wedding photos.”
“Peter has been a firefighter for over 28 years so fire is a very important part of our lives and we wanted to capture that.”
“I have to say that even if we were married at home, we probably still would have done this shoot after the fact, since wedding days are so rushed and we wanted to be able to be relaxed and not time-crunched for capturing all the photos we wanted.”
“Linda was absolutely fantastic to work with and we couldn’t imagine anyone better to help us achieve our vision.”
“She made us feel relaxed and managed to make two very non-photogenic people look great!”
Thank you so much to Linda for allowing me to share this awesome fire fighter themed wedding shoot.
Embracing who you are and whats important to you is so important when capturing memories.
Fire fighting has been part of Peters life for such a long time and I think the mix of vintage and new engines and formal and work uniform is just perfection and Nancy looks incredible.
Love the vividness of the red engines against the rustic earthy background of the farm and the urban exterior of the fire house too.
