Today I am excited to share this gorgeous & fun alternative Welsh wedding with aspects of Peaky Blinders & a little Rock n Roll.
The couple are Stef and Dan and their amazing day was on September 16th in Leighton, Wales.

Specialising in weddings, they have been running their photography business for a couple of years now.
They work mostly together, but both also shoot with other well-known and esteemed UK photographers and have captured all kinds of weddings, from small intimate register office weddings to large scale town hall and castle weddings.
Both Alison and Paul love getting to know their clients during pre-wedding shoots and just love the whole atmosphere of shooting weddings.
They feel very blessed and lucky to have worked with so many great clients and look forward to meeting and working with many more great couples in the future.
They say of the couple..
“We rebranded our company at the beginning of 2017 and to launch our new website we ran a ‘win your wedding photography’ competition.”
“We were so overwhelmed with the amount and quality of entries that we awarded more than one prize.”
“Stef and Dan won a voucher towards their wedding photography.”
” As soon as we heard about their alternative wedding, we just knew it would be good fun and a day to remember.”
“We met with them in person about a month before the wedding, over in Leighton, Wales. The minute we met them, we just knew we were a great fit.”
“We were told that they were having a Peaky Blinders inspired wedding for the men and rock n roll inspired outfits for the girls.”
“On the wedding day, I headed over to the bride’s house to capture bridal preparations whilst Paul was at Dan’s house capturing the activities there.”
“The latter included Dan, his family and groomsmen having their hair and beards groomed!”
“The bride’s house was a hive of activity too, with Stef’s sister doing her make up, and the hairdressers trying to finish off the two maids of honour and two flower girls.”
“The bridal party all had lovely rock n roll outfits and the hair and make up to match. Stef’s Irregular Choice shoes were just killer (but you have to admire the customised Converses that the couple had as well)!”
“When everyone was ready we headed to the ceremony.”
“The ceremony itself was in the beautiful village church in Leighton, where Dan had grown up and his family still have their own plumbing business.”
” The maids of honour and bridesmaids arrived in a family Volkswagen Campervan shortly followed by Stef and her dad’s arrival in a vintage car whilst Dan waited nervously at the altar. ”
“During the ceremony, the vicar was a lot of fun and at the close the couple did a funky dance out of the church followed by their close family.”
“After the group shots, Stef and Dan had asked for a couple of particular shots at the church. It was really funny to see Dan’s surprise at Stef’s bright red underskirt.”
“Whilst he had helped choose her Irregular Choice shoes, he had no idea that she had the red petticoat.”
“The subsequent reception was held at the village hall right next to Leighton’s primary school, which Dan had attended.”
“They had decorated the all with lanterns, hand made welded candlestick holders and a big frame to hold polaroid shots that guests took on arrival at the reception.”
“The wedding breakfast consisted of fish n chips for over 100 guests (photographers included) from the local chip shop.”
“There was also the most amazing customised wedding cake we have seen.” The details were fantastic and totally in keeping with the couples’ personalities.”
“After the cutting of the cake and first dance, the dance floor must have been one of the busiest we have seen for a long time.”
“Nowadays, a lot of weddings are ‘child free’. This one most certainly wasn’t. There were lots of children, the couples’ own two girls Temperance and Primrose included.”
“Relatives had travelled from wide and afar, and it was such a lovely inclusive atmosphere.”
“At the end of our day we got a few twilight shots before leaving everyone to their dancing and celebrating.”
