Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous garden Wedding on the Wirral with a Stella York Dress with rustic wedding details.
Amy & Gavin were married at Ness Gardens, 64 acres of beautiful gardens overlooking the River Dee.

She says of her work and the couple…
“When I photograph a wedding, I shoot exactly what’s in front of me. The butterflies in your tummy, when you laugh till it hurts, the little loving exchanges & those ‘can’t hold them back’ tears.”
“I suppose my style of wedding photography is best described as natural or reportage.”
“I first met Amy & Gavin back in 2014 when Amy was bridesmaid for one of my lovely couples, Jess & Rob!”
“It was great knowing I would see everyone again and when Amy & Gavin filled me in on all their plans, I couldn’t wait to shoot their beautiful Ness Gardens wedding!”
“When the day came, the July rain held off and the sun made a rare appearance – just in time for the “I do’s!”
“After not one, but two confetti throwings Amy & Gavin were whisked away for a spin in their gorgeous little VW camper.”
“Ness Garden’s is the type of place that whatever direction you’re looking in, there’s a picture perfect – bride & groom worthy – location! We really were spoilt for choice in this little oasis.”
I now hand over to beautiful Bride Amy…
How did you meet?
“We met through my cousin.”
“Gavin had gone to sixth form with her and they had stayed in touch.”
“We met a few times at parties and a night out and then decided to go on a date. The rest is history.”
Tell us about the Engagement?
“We got engaged Christmas day 2014. It was our first Christmas in our new home.”
“The ring was wrapped up as a present and it was the last one I opened.”
“I was in complete shock but we had an amazing day.”
“We spent the morning with my family and then the afternoon and evening with Gav’s family celebrating.”
“A lot of champagne was drank and it was definitely a day we wont forget!”
Tell us about your wedding planning journey
“I absolutely loved every part of planning our wedding.”
“I was very lucky and didn’t have any hiccups along the way.”
“We knew as soon as we got engaged that we wanted a very informal relaxing wedding day and an outdoor wedding seemed the perfect choice”.
“We were very lucky that we got a day of glorious sunshine which was the icing on the cake.”
“Our vision didn’t really change to much along the way and I was so happy with all my suppliers and how everything looked on the day. It is very special seeing your vision finally come to life.”
What was the best bit of your day?
“Walking down the aisle was the most emotional part of the day, and seeing each other for the first time.”
“My heart was thumping and I was so choked up.”
“I absolutely loved saying our vows to each other. It was so surreal but I just kept looking at Gav and I almost forgot everyone else was there.”
“It is definitely the most magical part of the day.”
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
“To not worry about anyone else or anything not going perfectly and to just try and enjoy the day.”
“You spend so much time building up to the day itself and there is so much pressure for everything to be perfect.”
“Try and find some time alone too. You have the best intentions of spending the day together but you do both end up getting separated throughout the day.”
“We went for a drive straight after the ceremony and also sneaked off alone in the early evening for a glass of champagne together.”
