He loves to take photographs that expose emotions and reveal the atmosphere, dropping the viewer right in the thick of the story.
Today I am thrilled to share the lovely New Years Eve Wedding of Sofia and Mike.
As each New Year is a new dawn in life, a couples Big Day is the official start of their life together.
Closing a year with something so special and then starting the adventure of marriage anew in the next is the perfect start.
Memories of the day were captured by Shaun Taylor Photography.
Shaun is a Wedding Photographer based in Derby but covering all over ther UK.
As the wedding photographer he looks to strike a balance between working discreetly and forming relationships that allow him to creatively capture individual personalities and interactions.
The Bride and Groom were married in a beautiful New Years Eve Wedding last year in an intimate and very family orientated celebration.
The 31st December is an important date for them as it is their anniversary of becoming a couple, and 2011 heralded their 9th year together.
The ceremony was at St. Alkmunds in Duffield, Derbyshire.
Duffield Church is one of only six in England dedicated to Alkmund the 8th century Northumbrian prince and Mercian martyr.
The sarcophagus which contained his remains can be seen today in Derby Museum.
The building of the present church was begun by the Normans in the 12th century and originally comprised a chancel and nave.
There are several well-preserved pieces of Norman carved stonework.
After the beautiful candleit ceremony, the couple and their assembled guests enjoyed a sumptuous feast at their family Italian restaurant in Belper, Derbyshire.
Café Nonno’s translates literally as “Grandad’s Café” and was a fitting venue for such a family orientated occasion.
Thank you to Shaun for sharing his wonderful images on the 1st Anniversary of this lovely couple’s New Years Eve Wedding and also in celebration of their 10th year together.
I wish them many more happy years.
