A stunning vintage inspired Fall Wedding in Pittsburgh

Today I am thrilled to share this stunning vintage inspired Fall Wedding in Pittsburgh.

Images were captured by Sandra Chile Photography.

Sandra Chile, the eye behind the lens was born and raised in Chile, but now lives in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania (USA).

She is a passionate rabbit lover, a ferocious advocate for animal welfare, and a supporter of conscious living.

She is in love with taking pictures of fascinating individuals, whom like myself, are free spirited, wanna travel the world, like to laugh out loud, wanna eat without gaining weight and most of all, want to never be silent about things that matter.

She specialises in photographing FUN couples who like to do things a lil’ bit different, who treat their wedding day as a chance to celebrate their personalities, and who celebrate their personalities by embracing the spontaneity of life.

When you hire her, you will have a photographer who “gets you” like a friend would, someone who understands that you are passionate about living, and will capture this special day with the intensity and creativity that your soul deserves.

Sandra says of the couple and their day…

“Christa is the only girl among brothers, and lives in Missouri, far from her family who lives mostly in Pittsburgh.”

“This is where she met Jon, at the hospital where they both work. Jon was the preceptor and Christa says she had “a HUGE crush on him”.

“Photographers like me tend to be observers, and when I met Jon the day of the wedding, I was not surprised that Christa would have such a big crush on him.”

“He is probably the kindest person I ever met. He is soft spoken, sweet, loving, and treated her like his most precious treasure the entire day.”

“They got married at Christa’s parent’s house, in Windber, PA, a small town east of Pittsburgh.”

“Christa planned the whole thing with the help of her parents from far away.”

“It was a vintage inspired fall wedding, with gorgeous fall foliage and scenic view.”

“Not surprisingly, it rained that day, and even when we had to rapidly switch to an indoor plan B, Christa and Jon’s day was filled with friendship, love, and the fall feeling that October brings.”

I hand over to gorgeous Bride Christa…

How did you meet?

“We met in the Emergency Room . . . . because we had to clock in!”

“We worked together in the ER for months and our little workplace romance grew by taking our lunch breaks together and walking to our cars until eventually we were inseparable.”

Tell us about the Engagement?

“One night, I was sitting on the couch watching TV when all of a sudden Jonathan was standing in front of me holding a little box.”

“I immediately started screaming, “What are you doing?!” and he kneeled down and asked the question.”

“We picked out my ring together and I even knew when he bought it, but he was still able to completely surprise me.”

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

“Our wedding planning journey was a bit unique because Jonathan and I live in Missouri, but we really wanted to get married at my parent’s house in Pennsylvania so it was long distance planning.”

“Thankfully, my parent’s were a huge help and I was able to tell them what we wanted and they were able to make it happen!”

“We had a ton of help from friends and family.”

What was the best bit of your day?

“Your wedding day is filled with SO many special moments, it’s difficult to pick just one, but I think one of the best parts is getting to see both of your families come together.”

“I live 1,000 miles from my family and sadly, neither one of us gets to spend a lot of time with our extended families, so it was extremely special to see family we hadn’t seen in so long.”

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

“When things don’t go as planned (because they probably won’t), don’t let it ruin your day!”

“We had to change several things due to weather and just the general chaos of the day, but nothing can take away from the amazing feeling of marrying your best friend surrounded by your favourite people.”

Thank you so much to Sandra for sharing this lovely vintage inspired fall Wedding.

I do love to see a lovely relaxed laid back day where fun, friendship and family is the priority and what better location than somewhere so personal to the couple.

The amazing cakes, pretty glassware, pretty decorative touches and the beautiful fiery colours of fall just add to the magic of this day…
