An amazing Willy Wonka themed Wedding with purple and chocolate detailing

Today I am excited to share this amazing Willy Wonka themed Wedding with purple and chocolate detailing.

Images were captured by One Thousand Words at Walton Castle.

One Thousand Words are Tom Wishart and Murray Lambert, two documentary wedding photographers working synchronously as one thousand words wedding photography.

Over the years of working together they have developed and blended their styles to provide natural timeless wedding photography.

They have a host of amazing wedding venues on their doorstep in Dorset but are often travelling to venues further afield and even abroad.

They always shoot weddings as a team of two, working without time limits, making sure no moment is missed.

They say of the couple and their day…

We met Rebecca and Ben after they saw a ‘sneak peek’ from a wedding at Walton Castle on our blog.

It was an incredible wedding day, full of chocolate from the get go.

The combination of all things sweet and chocolatey shone through in the details.

From the Cadbury wrappers in the bouquet, details on the dress and shoes to the amazing Choccywoccydoodah wedding cake.

After dark we were able to capture some stunning images using the coloured up lighters that Rebecca had sourced herself as well.

I hand over to beautiful Bride Rebecca…

How did you meet?

We met at University. I failed maths and met Ben at these help sessions.

I baked for him when he helped me study and get better.

I got an A and got myself a future husband.

Tell us about the Proposal…

Ben took me to Brighton for a late anniversary present and went to my favourite chocolate shop, Choccywoccydoodah.

He proposed with chocolate cake there!

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

Ben did most of the organising and work for the Wedding, but I came up with the ideas for the styling.

Any special touches/DIY?

Our venue was special it was a castle near the sea, which we had for the whole weekend.

We put lots of touches into the day such as making the decorations for the tables, rooms and giant lollipops.

We had my friend’s band ‘Against All Odds’ play as well as a Phil Collins tribute act!

As it had a place in our story Choccywoccydoodah made our cake.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

The day was Willy Wonka themed with lots of purple and chocolate.

What was the best bit of your day?

All of it! It went so fast we enjoyed it all so much

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

If you can afford it within your budget definitely get a wedding planner.

Its really worth it and makes the day go very smoothly.
