“Blue Heart” – A Wedding Vow Renewal in Majorca – Images by Yolanda Talavera

Today I am thrilled to share the intimate Wedding Vow Renewal of Louise and Stuart, captured beautifully by Yolanda Talavera in Majorca in July.

I have been blessed to know Louise for a number though her Business, LHG Designs.

The Couple originally got married on the 12th July 2003 at Ibrox Parish Church with their reception at The Beardmore Hotel Clydebank.

Louise designed her own wedding dress and had it made, including  a 9ft train!

The men in the wedding party wore either tartan trews or kilts, and the colour and theme for the wedding was blue hearts.

10 years down the line, it was time to celebrate again.

Louise shares the story of her Vow Renewal,

“The vow renewal was something we decided upon after we booked our family holiday to Majorca.”

“Like many busy families we don’t often get a chance to really celebrate our anniversaries, so we wanted to make sure that we made our 10th anniversary memorable.”

“As we got married in our mid twenties and had the big wedding, the vow renewal was definitely going to be very intimate. So intimate that it was just the two of us and our son.”

“Having had our wedding in the Church we wanted to do the same for the vow renewal.”

“So after  a little bit of research we found the Anglican Church in Palma. Modern from the outside it was small and special enough for our celebration.”

“Communication was simple via email and we soon had it arranged  for Friday 12th July 2013 at 3pm.”

“Again using the internet we found our photographer Yolanda Talavera, and a hairdresser just down the road from our hotel.”

“We wanted to include some of the elements from our wedding into the vow renewal. So we kept the blue heart theme.”

“The boys wore royal blue converse shoes and I had Vivienne Westwood Blue heart shoes.”

“As the weather was going to be hot the boys wore linen shirts and beige shorts.”

“The search for my dress was a little more difficult, but like most things it was a chance visit to TK Maxx where I came across it. I accessorised it with one of the belts from my collection.”

“You would think as I make bridal hair accessories it would be easy to choose which one I would wear. Not at all there were many dress trails with different hair accessories, before I decided on the Ganza headband.”

“My wedding ring was designed around my engagement ring so is an unusual shape. Instead of opting for an eternity ring I had diamonds added to my wedding band.”

“On the day of the vow renewal I visited the hairdressers while the boys hit the beach for an hour.”

“After that we got ready in our hotel and I did my own make-up.”

“As we headed to the hotel foyer to get our taxi to Palma we found out it was 32 degrees, one of the hottest days so far.”

“Thankfully as a momento I had taken my late Grandma’s fan with me to carry.”

“We had a lovely short ceremony in the church and then we headed to Bellver Castle and grounds for some photographs.”

“The ceremony was just perfect for us and even more emotional than the actual wedding itself.”

Thanks so much to Louise and Stuart fro sharing memories of their beautiful celebration of 10 years as man and wife..Wishing them many more happy years ahead!
