Today it is my very great honour to share the very special Wedding Vow Renewal of Naomi and Graham.
I have been privileged to know Naomi for about a year and a half, and in that time this lady has done amazing things.
Despite a secondary breast cancer diagnosis meaning at times things are very difficult, this courageous woman makes it her mission to ensure other Brides and Grooms have the special day they always dreamed of.
Images of the day were captured by Tara Statton Photography.
Introducing Mrs. Thomas
When Naomi became Mrs. Graham Thomas on June 6th 2012, at St. Audries Park, Somerset, she had no way of knowing how many years of marriage the couple would be able to enjoy.
All she knew was that she was marrying her soulmate in front of all their family and friends, and that nothing had ever felt more right.
Naomi and Graham’s wedding had happened against all odds, much to the delight of those who had gathered at the venue to witness their vows.
In 2010, just six days after her son, Devon, was born, Naomi was given the heartbreaking news that the cancer she believed she’d beaten in 2009 was back, and that it was no longer curable.
“I was utterly devastated. In that moment, along with everything else, was the heartbreaking thought that Graham and I would never be able to marry.”
“He had initially proposed just two days before my first diagnosis and we’d kept having to postpone the wedding thanks to the emotional and financial burdens that accompany cancer; we just didn’t have the spare cash to have the wedding that we so desperately wanted.” Naomi says.
Luckily for Naomi and Graham, a guardian angel in the shape of a local wedding planner took their cause to heart and, after much hard work and determination on her part, the couple were able to experience the wedding of their dreams.
“So many local suppliers stepped forward and donated their time and services.”
“It was utterly amazing, and I couldn’t believe that, after every setback, I was finally going to be marrying the man who had stood beside me throughout it all.”
“It was better than I ever could have imagined.”
Stirred by the love and support shown to the couple by relative strangers, Naomi was inspired to found The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation, a charity that funds and organises weddings for couples similarly affected by terminal and life-limiting illnesses.
Happy Anniversary Naomi and Graham
This year, to celebrate two years of marriage, Naomi and Graham renewed their wedding vows, as they have done every year since their very special day.
This year’s intimate renewal ceremony, witnessed by their son, a celebrant, photographer and videographer was hosted at the gorgeous Deer Park Country House Hotel in Honiton, Devon, which also laid on a toast and canapés for the occasion.
Naomi explains, “We have absolutely no idea how long I have left, and so it is important for us to celebrate every year that passes; every year is an achievement and brings so many wonderful memories in the making.”
“Renewing our vows feels like we are getting married all over again, and reminds us just important our wedding day was to us.”
“We always write our own vows, reminding each other of everything that we’re grateful for.”
“Despite it all, I feel so, so lucky to be here, and to have an amazing husband and son.”
The suppliers’ who’s who
As the founder and face of The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation Naomi has become a true inspiration in the wedding world, while her determination to make dreams come true is utterly infectious.
It is little wonder, then, that suppliers are so eager to support this very special lady at every turn.
Naomi and Graham’s vow renewal was treated no differently, and local suppliers stepped forward to ensure that the couple enjoyed a stunning day.
Meanwhile, Naomi’s stunning gown and veil were provided by The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation’s own Wedding Collection, which features over 600 items that have been donated since the start of an Outfit Amnesty launched in 2013 by Johnsons the Cleaners.
Following their vow renewal, Graham and Naomi made their way to The Harbour Hotel in Salcombe for a romantic mini-moon – a perfect end to their magical day.

No Ordinary Wedding Planner
As a bonus anniversary gift, Naomi’s new book, No Ordinary Wedding Planner, was scheduled for release on the couple’s anniversary.
The book tells the story of the couple’s love and strength through adversity, so it seems only right that it should be there to help them make the years count.
You can share Naomi and Graham’s story by purchasing the E -book here.
Thank you so much to Naomi and Graham for sharing their vow renewal and such precious times with us, and thank you also to Tara for sharing such incredible imagery.
I would really encourage readers to read Naomi’s remarkable story and what she has achieved, and the help she gives to those who are struggling with a terminal or life limiting diagnosis through the Wedding Wishing Well Foundation.
