“Eclectic Vintage” – A Vintage, Cricket, Cake Inspired Big Day – Part 2 – Images by Rob Booker Photography

I’m really excited to share the concluding part of Zoe and Simons fabulous Wedding Day captured by the fabulous Rob Booker,  at the beautiful Holdsworth House, Halifax.

Part 1 of the stunning Big Day can be seen HERE.

Rob Booker is a Wedding photographer based in the beautiful town of Beverley in East Yorkshire.
His photography is a mix a relaxed portraits, amazing details and perfect moments and concentrates on telling the story of a wedding day through this blend of photojournalism and contemporary portraiture.

Rob says of the couple, “I first met the couple through a mutual friend in Huddersfield – they were bonkers back then too.
They hadn’t even set a date for the wedding, but already got me pinned down to do the photos – when a couple are this excited about their day, it’s difficult to say no!”

“Zoe and Simon were my perfect clients – friendly, happy, madly in love and really excited about have amazing photos of their wedding.”

“It’s great when you get people that know what they want, but also give you the trust and freedom to do your job, and that’s exactly what they did.”

“Zoe poured her heart and soul into their wedding and this came through from the start – their folder in my inbox is stuffed with emails about details and ideas about the day and when a couple are this communicative, it really helps to get me excited and want to go the extra mile with their photos.”

“I wouldn’t say Zoe was a stalker, but she has been a regular commenter on my website and Facebook, which again helps me to build a good picture of the kind of photos she likes and the kind of people they are, which in turn made it easier to deliver an experience they enjoyed even more.”

“Their wedding day was amazing and it’s testament to Zoe’s artistic flair, how much attention to detail there was in every part of it.”

“The wedding breakfast room was an absolute marvel and one of the most individual and exciting I’ve seen.  Over and above all the detail though, it was definitely about the two of them, getting married and being around all the people that make them happy and if I’ve done my job even to a tenth of my ability you’ll see how happy they make each other.”

Rob now hands the storytelling over to Zoe who shares her best bits, and some advice.

What was the best bit about your Day ?

“I’m finding it hard to narrow it down; it really was that fun a day!”

“I think I enjoyed it after the ceremony as I don’t like being the centre of attention so I didn’t like everyone watching me. After that, I could relax & just enjoy the day.
I really loved the Photobooth we had in the evening though!”

Any advice you would give to other Brides and Grooms…

“Enjoy the planning. And enjoy the day. Don’t listen to what is ‘expected’ of a wedding, pick the traditions you want to keep & don’t feel forced to do things the ‘way they should be done’.”

“Make the day about both of you… So many times I got sick of hearing “Well, a wedding is for the girl really isn’t it!””

!We decided to delay our Honeymoon for a while, so that we had something to look forward to.”

“Just after the wedding, we went to London for a couple of nights for a touch of relaxation (London? Relaxing?).”

“We are really excited to  jet off to Orlando for 2 weeks, on November 1st for our Disneymoon… Big kids right? We cannot wait!!!!”

Thanks to Rob for sharing his absolutely stunning Photography and Zoe and Simon for sharing such an incredible, fun day that was so them in every single way.
