Now there is not often I come across a Venue as unique as this but the beautiful Scottish Wedding of Andrea and Stuart at Glengoyne Distillery at Killearn by Loch Lomond is pretty special.
The intimate, flexible environment of Glengoyne Distillery, steeped in history, makes it a unique venue for special events and Weddings. They take great pride in offering exquisite Scottish cuisine using fresh local produce, fine wines and of course, rich, warming Glengoyne scotch whisky.
The memories of the day were captured by Imagine Images and photographers Kirsty MacGregor & Ross Brownlee, who are based in South Lanarkshire.
As a team of two they specialise in capturing candid, un-posed moments, a mix of traditional elegance with a contemporary twist, within a relaxed, friendly and unobtrusve atmosphere.
They are a partnership in photography, and in life and say they feel honoured to be part of couples special days – and love capturing those special moments that they can cherish forever.
Ross says “Andrea came to see us at a Wedding Exhibition in Glasgow. She booked us that day as she felt at ease with us –something that is very important to wedding photography.”
“We hadn’t met Stuart, so made a point of going to meet him prior to the wedding, and it felt like we had popped round to a friends for a cup of tea. Everything was so relaxed and they were fabulusly organised in the lead up to their special day.”
“And in turn they wanted a very relaxed approach to their Wedding Photography, nothing too overly staged but with a vintage aged feel.”
“On the day it poured with rain up until Andrea arrived to be married. Of course the damp, dry humid conditions meant there were LOTS of Scottish midgies!!! But they couldn’t, nor could the rain, put a dampner of their day.”
“The rain held off long enough to get some stunning images outside, before we ventured inside to capture the awesomeness of the distillery.”
“Then it was back to the party to enjoy the music and magician and a beautiful meal. It was just a fantastic day – and great fun to capture all the little personal rustic details that blended so well with the Venue and that made the day their very own!”
The earthy natural feel and rustic flavour of this wedding blends well with a great location and the warmth and intimacy of the occasion. Who knew Whisky could be so beautiful !
