Monochrome Elegance – Real Wedding Feature captured in Black and White – Images by Pete Barnes Photography

Now just lets think about this for a minute , Scottish Groom, major kilt action, a Bride so beautiful that her smile could light up the national grid, AND then shot in black in white making a look so timeless you could be in an old Hollywood movie…all this adds up to a Wedding that I am bursting to share !

On a lovely day in June the sun shone brightly for the beautiful wedding of Chloe and Stuart, captured by Pete Barnes Photography at Sandburn Hall near York.

Based in Wakefield Pete offers contemporary, professional, reportage wedding photography with traditional elements.

Pete shares his recollections of the day,

“I only met Chloe and Stuart for the first time at the prewedding meeting a few weeks before the wedding.”

“They were a lovely couple who seemed very down to earth so we were looking forward to photographing their wedding. We have done quite a few weddings at Sandburn Hall over the last few years and it really is a great venue, both inside and out which is always advanatgeous especially with the summer we have been having (how much rain?!)”

“Anyway on the day of the Wedding there was a little rain in the morning and then the sun came out”.

“Stuart was a great lad who hailed from Scotland so all is mates were in the obligatory kilts, always a winner. Chloe looked stunning in her gorgeous lace Bridal Gown and together they were very easy to take photos of.”

“The couple had hired a cool retro VW campervan which looked awesome, and after group shots of close family we went off to get some ‘couple’ shots, all nice and relaxed before everyone went in for the wedding breakfast.”

“The Venue at Sandurn is exquisite with all the bare wooden beams so it was a delight to shoot there both during the Ceremony and during the Wedding Breakfast.”

“After some awesome speeches and the meal was completed the Bride and groom cut the cake before the Evening Reception.”

There was  a fine sprinkling of Oasis music throughout, which as a big Oasis fan I enjoyed and there was a live band for everyone in the evening.”

There are no words… A little bit like Black and White Movie ” The Artist”, the overwhelming monochrome elegance speaks volumes.

A couple so in love, a devoted Groom, a luminous Bride, all just too beautiful…Thank you so much to Pete for allowing me to share.
