Naturally Vintage – lovely Village Wedding – Images by Kirsty Whitaker

Today I’m thrilled to share this stunning Village Wedding photographed in style by Kirsty Whitaker. Alice and Simon got married on a lovely early Autumn day at the start of September.

She shares her recollections of Alice and Simon, and their beautiful day,

“I first met the couple back in February, I had been recommended to Alice so we met for a coffee to talk through what they were looking for.”

“Alice was really keen to have a contemporary but natural feel to her wedding photographs, she wanted to feel relaxed with her photographer on the day and as we immediately clicked we both knew that wouldn’t be a problem!”

“Alice and Simon have been together for 12 years, they are a fantastic couple.”

They met whilst at University and have a beautiful son called Max. They had been planning the wedding for the last 12 months or so and wanted a day that felt natural and good fun, exactly what they are as a couple.”

“The day began at the family house in the small village of Braybrooke, where Alice and her two sisters had grown up.”

“It was a great morning full of excitement mixed with just a few tears before it was time to make our way to the local church which was just round the corner.”

“Alice and her Dad were taken to the church in a family friend’s vintage car, painted in the colour ‘Alice Blue’ so it was perfect!”

“As we came round the corner to the church the whole village were gathered outside to clap Alice into a church, a gorgeous village tradition!”

“The service was beautiful, Alice had her two sisters, sister of the groom and best friend as her bridesmaids so they were keeping her calm before making her entrance.”

“From the church the guests travelled on an amazing vintage bus to Farndon Grange where there was an amazing marquee with so many lovely personal touches.”

“The whole family had pulled together to create a beautiful reception, the venue was perfect from a photography perspective too so we took Simon and Alice off for some shots by the lake…and to have a breather.”

“The rest of the day and evening was full of laughs and great fun. The dancefloor was packed from the moment the band started playing and the new Mr and Mrs Fletcher definitely had their dancing shoes on…just perfect!”
