Today I am thrilled to share the amazing winter wedding of Ella and Andrew with their luxurious celebration taking place on New Years Eve 2012.
Images of the day were captured by Chris Hanley.
Chris shares his recollections of the couples fantastic Winter Wedding celebration….
“Ella and Andrew’s party’s and celebrations were of legend so their 2 night, three day winter wedding extravaganza was eagerly anticipated amongst their assembled and excited family and friends.”
“An avenue of winter trees were like skeletons, and made for dramatic images and an impressive car journey on the drive towards Brympton House in Somerset.”
“Brympton d’Evercy (also known as Brympton House) is a manor house near Yeovil in the county of Somerset, England. It has been described as the most beautiful house in England.”
“The majestic stance of the house, and the terrace and steps leading down to the gardens and lake are stunning.”
“To start this Winter Wedding day off to a cracking start, and after a hearty breakfast the guests ventured out into the wet and blustery morning for a spot of shooting and archery.”
“Despite the very inclement conditions, the gathered few took advantage of the “Freshness” to blow away a few cobwebs after an evening of enjoying Ella and Andrew’s legendary hospitality.”
“The weather was about to whip itself up into a very wet and blustery day but that didn’t stop the fun.”
“Following this it was back to the house for roaring fires, hair of the dog and a brew or two.”
“Andrew and his groomsmen looked sharp in their suits, but for a bit of fun had their comical nicknames sewn into the underside of their Harris and Howard suit collars.
“One of the handsome chaps had the title of “Knobhead”
“Bridesmaids Andrea and Julie looked absolutely fabulous in their gowns and cossack style hats.”
“The chapel ceremony was lit with candles.
Cometh the hour the darkened skies dried up and there was a window of brightness for the bride to arrive.”
“The arrival of the bride came, and as with every bride there was that unique look of love behind a smile of anticipation and nerves.”
“Following the ceremony there was a wonderful splash of colourful confetti made with real flower petals lovingly created by the mums.”
“Then, just before candlelit dinner for 130 there was time to capture a quick portrait of the happy couple.”
“After a fine session of after dinner speeches and many hilarious moments it was on to the Vodka Luge which doubled up nicely as a seating plan too.”
“Ella and Andrew then slipped out for a few minutes between moving from the house up to the orangery to capture some unique, warm and striking winter wedding portraits.”
T”he terrace steps and backdrop of the house also made for a perfect location portrait.”
“Then it was back to the house for dancing, and out with the Masquerade masks with plenty of paper faces on parade.”
“As time slipped past the New Years Eve celebrations began at midnight.”
“Just past midnight it was time to let the New Year in with one last venture outside.”
“Some glorious fireworks over Brympton House announced the finale to Ella and Andrew beautiful New Years Eve winter wedding.”
