Today I am thrilled to share this dark, moody and atmospheric bridal shoot with a sensual urban grunge feel.
Images were captured by Lina and Tom Photography with planning by Inge Louise Events.
Inge says of the shoot…
I wasn’t heading for a certain theme with this shoot but I had a very strong picture in my head of how I wanted it to look.
With this in mind I used a poem by S.Marie to draw inspiration from and went from there.
The poem is:
“I admired her
Not for her smile,
Though it was beautiful.
Not for her eyes,
Though they shone brightly.
I admired her
For the battle scars
And war wounds
That she displayed
Proudly for the world to see
I admired her
For her strength
And her courage.”
The style of the shoot was focused around a strong female and the abstract qualities of the location.
I wanted to use a model who had a strong and confident style partnered with opulent apparel, think Moulin Rouge meets Cirque de Soleil.
I stumbled across the quirky antiques warehouse and knew I had to do something with it, everywhere you look there are unique pieces so I wanted to use the chaos to my benefit.
The styling was decadent, dark, moody and atmospheric featuring rich jewel tones, sparkle and gold to create a sensual urban grunge feel to reflect the confident Bride.
I wanted to focus on a bold, creative, opulent style for those strong and truly unique brides looking to put together a really unique style unlike anything normally seen in bridal magazines.
