A gorgeous rustic and bohemian inspired wedding styled shoot at Richwill Farm

Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous rustic and bohemian inspired wedding styled shoot with a beautiful fresh colour palette and whimsical decor and styling.

Images were captured at Richwill Farm in Essex by Ayshea Goldberg Photography alongside the creativity of a fantastic collaborative team.

Photography

The team wanted to create a series of images that would showcase thee venue inside and out and also the talents and creativity of local wedding suppliers.

We wanted everything about the look to be a bit boho and soft creating a light and airy feel to reflect the colour scheme, mood of the shoot and also the season, amn I was able to capture some spectacular shots.

Venue

Opened last year Richwill Farm is a sympathetically restored 19th Century Barn with stunning grounds located in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings of the Essex countryside.

The venue used its rustic tables for the set up as so many couples are choosing them for their wedding day and they make a fantastic statement for a banquet as you walk into the barn.

Floristry

We used seasonal flowers in an ever popular colour scheme that is bright and fresh and lends itself to such a rustic barn setting.

We chose ivory and greenery with gold decor and styling that Sarah the owner of Richwill loans out as an optional service.

Butterfly Flowers fell in love with the swing and wanted to make this a feature so decorated it with greenery and ivory roses for a soft and romantic feel.

We paired it with a flower crown and a flowing wedding gown to complete the look. We also caught the last of the little orchard blossoms for seasonal portraits.

We did a choice of bouquets as oversized waterfall bouquets are creeping back onto the radar in this area, so the florist wanted to create something to inspire brides looking for a dramatic statement bouquet.

There was also a handtied bouquet using the same flowers that made a gorgeous alternative which will always be popular.

Cake

The Beautiful Cakery baked the amazing cake and wanted to add a twist on the greenery and therefore  hand created succulents in sugar craft to decorate the cake.

It looked amazing and we’re really hoping that succulents remain popular throughout 2019 and into 2020 as they look so effective.

She also created biscuits that are great as favours and looked brilliant on the table settings.

Stationery

Stationery was from an existing range by Jess Harington Stationery Design and absolutely blended in perfectly with the colour scheme and flower design which looked amazing.

The magnets and bottle openers are a fun asset and will be valued as favours!

Jewellery and Hair Accessories

The jewellery and hair accessories were from Chez Bec and were designed to be light, traditional and also catch the light. Sometimes less is more and that’s what we were going for on this shoot.

Hair and Makeup

It was the same principle with hair and makeup, with Megan Vickers on makeup and Kaylor Wright on hair styling.

We wanted to show brides natural radiance with a light and fresh makeup done by  and hair styles were tousled and soft

A look that is carefree and minimal but will last the test of time – both on the day and in photographs in the future!

Bridal Wear

Dresses were hand selected by Claire at Hilary B who understands what brides are looking for to look beautiful and feel amazing.

She picked designs that were floaty with soft fabrics for movement and also for comfort.

Soft structures and a statement veil to catch in the breeze will make this a choice that many brides will opt for especially in warmer months.

The shoot day itself was so relaxed, with everyone working really hard to prepare for it in a short space of time.

So often suppliers don’t really see each other on a wedding day – and don’t get to see the overall vision, so it’s great to work together in a more relaxed way working to our own requirements and showing what we can offer.

It was great to come together to offer some rustic and bohemian inspired wedding inspiration to couples looking to plan their celebrations.
