With its 14th century Great Hall and idyllic grounds, Dartington Hall is the largest medieval manor house in the West of England and was the perfect setting to showcase a Luxe Wedding styled shoot with a beautiful pastel palette.
Stylist Laura said of the shoot..
Last week we had an amazing opportunity to work with Dartington Hall, creating a luxury and elegant look for the Great Hall.
Nestling in the heart of a 1200-acre private estate the hammer beamed Great Hall with its striking tapestries encircles a picturesque courtyard and extends to spectacular ancient gardens.
We were given the brief to style and dress their 30 foot long banquet table to seat 20 guests.
This luxe look combines ivory and golds perfect for a winter wedding.
We decided on this soft palette for the florals of soft pink, purple and lemon to create an indulgent and opulent look which could transcend beautifully to a Spring Wedding.
The luxurious ivory chiffon drapes, were woven into the chiavari chairs to produce a Grecian look.
This worked really well and balanced against the the dark rustic wood of the banquet table.
The gold accents within the place settings really set the scene for an elegant event. Each place setting included gold rimmed glassware and a delicate gold rimmed charger plate and with the gold cutlery it really brought the whole look together.
The Great Hall is a vast space with high ceilings, so in order to highlight the dramatic height of this venue, Blue Geranium created some breathtaking floral displays. Five gold candelabras stood in the middle of the table and were dresses with luscious greenery paired with a pop of colour from some beautiful blooms.
Dartington Hall has a truly magical feel about it and is the perfect venue for a grand wedding.
