A Magical Winter Wedding bridal shoot inspired by the Snow Queen from Narnia

Today I am excited to share this magical winter wedding bridal shoot inspired by the Snow Queen from Narnia.

Images were captured by Birgitta Zoutman Photography with the collaboration of a small but talented and creative team.

Birgitta says of the shoot…

With it being the depths of winter I wanted to create something along the seasonal theme, but also something that would demonstrate we are not just about dark and edgy but that we love a bit of ethereal beauty too.

I’m primarily a wedding and portrait photographer so we decided to create some winter wedding magic inspired by the Snow Queen from Narnia.

One of my favourite Shropshire wedding creators is Ashley King from Adorn by Ashley and she had the perfect winter veil and crown for us to use.

The flowers on the crown are real and have been set in resin, and the detail in the embroidery on the veil train was just stunning.

Before she became a veil designer Ashley was a florist and her work was always heavily influenced by the natural shapes and forms of flowers.

She had been been trying to perfect a way of preserving real flowers and make them usable in her work for some time, and now finally she has done just that.

Being able to use real flowers in her work takes veil and headpiece designs to new heights influenced by the natural tones and colours available.

It’s also a lovely way of being able to preserve a bit of your wedding day forever.

The floral crown used in this shoot is the first design in a collection of real flower headpieces, veils and buttonieres that will be available from next year.

Fran, our MUA as always knew exactly what makeup I wanted for our gorgeous flamed haired model Kim, the colour of her hair is such a juxtaposition to the surroundings and is just incredible..

We added bit of fake snow and winter sparkles to proceedings,  alongside extra long lashes and a fake fur stole and dress by Bianco Evento and we had our look was complete.
