Today I am delighted to showcase a stunning modern romantic meets dark boho wedding styled shoot.
The shoot is a celebration of love, light and dark and the versatility of both the venue and the amazing Maddie Farris Photography and a fabulous creative team.
The team wanted to collaborate to help promote Manchester Hall which is a fairly new city centre wedding venue.
While retaining the original grade II listed features of the former Freemasons’ Hall, Manchester Hall has been infused with a modern twist to create a wonderful setting for a wedding day.
Exquisite period details including pillars, oak panelling and high ceilings surround you at every turn with a magnificent floating staircase, which is one-of-a-kind in England.
The venue has some beautiful rooms with different styles, so the general discussion was to really highlight the stunning features of this exceptional venue by staging two distinct themes.
Upstairs in the ceremony room, we had a ‘modern-romantic’ theme which suited the light & airy room well.
There are some beautiful chandeliers & windows in this particular room that we wanted to make a feature of.
We also used this room for our still life set-ups to focus on the cake, flowers, stationery & table settings and decor
Downstairs at Manchester Hall there is a reception room with the most beautiful parquet flooring with I knew I wanted to photograph in!
This room is quite dramatic & dark, so we went with a more boho-style dress for a striking contrast & Hannah, our florist, made the most beautiful floral features with different grasses & greenery.
There is also the incredible staircase at Manchester Hall that makes quite a statement so we created some magic there too.
Isn’t it beautiful!
Thank you so much to Maddie and all those in the collaborative team for their work on this stylish shoot that showcases beautifully the versatility of look in the venue and the incredible creativity of the team.
