An ethereal Lady of the Lake wedding styled shoot with pretty aqua, peach, pink and gold detail

Today I am excited to share this Lady of the Lake wedding styled shoot with a stunning fresh colour palette of aqua, peach, pink and gold.

Conceived by Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium this ethereal shoot was captured by innovative and highly accomplished Photography by Anna Marie in a secret hideaway by a magical lake in the middle of the dreamy English countryside.

Reported to have special powers, the Lake is the residence of young Nimue, known as the Lady of the Lake.

Her role and interaction with King Arthur, Sir Lancelot and Mystic Merlin is the stuff of legends; with the tale of her pivotal role in Camelot enduring for generations.

This beautiful lake on a private family estate in Hertfordshire and it’s breathtaking surroundings provided the location for this unique bridal shoot.

We imagined a lovely summer’s day so warm and bright, that Nimue could not resist coming out of the lake onto dry land.

Dressed in all her finery, she feasts and frolics with nature, including the birds, butterflies and dragonflies.

When she is done, she swims away to her abode beneath the lake, thinking of what a magical day she’s had.

Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium envisioned and planned the Lady of the Lake wedding shoot.

She chose a palette consisting of cool aquas and warm peaches, pinks and gold perfect for the outdoor, lakeside setting.

Highly respected and classically trained London based florist Miriam Faith created the beautiful floral tablescape, two bouquets and also decorated the boat in a manner fit for our young lady of the lake.

A variety of blousy flowers that included very fragrant pink Prince Jadiniere and peach Juliet David Austin roses were arranged on the table in a beautiful gold bowl and also in aqua bud vases and votives from Deborah of Wedding Day Hire.

The look was finished off by beautiful amber glass candlestick holders and taper candles.

The bespoke, custom made cake table-cloth was inspired by the lake; we used strands of organza in various hues of aqua and blue to replicate cascading water … ultimately designed as a platform to showcase the main cake.

The awesome crockery, crystal and cutlery were from Duchess and Butler, the exquisite custom made laser cut menu and name cards were from Intricate Creations, the crisp tablecloths and napkins were from Over the Top Rentals and Rosestone provided the icy white chairs.

Our fresh faced and beautiful model Bonnie with her flowing locks was perfection in the role of young Nimue.

For her first look, she was styled by bridal stylist and hair and makeup artist, Boe of Botias who created a dewy and dreamy look using natural tones with hints of aqua.

Boe also custom made the crystal headpiece that complimented the intricately beaded dress and matching lace edged cape from world renowned dress designer Naeem Khan.

The blue shoes by Aruna Seth provided a colour pop touch.

For the second look, Bonnie’s hair was woven with fresh flower buds and she donned a specially made lace cape by Botias, very apt for the lady’s ceremonial return to her home.

The beautiful cakes, cupcakes and macarons were from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium.

The main cake, a 6 tier aqua confection with gold brushed bas relief motifs on the bottom tier was decorated with a cascade of handcrafted pink and peach sugar flowers that matched the flowers.

The specially hand made ribbon effect table cloth crafted by Deborah added a touch of drama and whimsy.

Thank you so much to the team for sharing their incredible creativity.

I hope that has given you some elegant inspiration for your own Lady of the Lake wedding day.
