Today I am thrilled to spotlight on Team Glam, one of the UK’s leading bridal styling teams who share Bridal beauty looks in hair and makeup for 2016.
In collaboration with the world’s most prestigious Bridal designers and publications, they create inspiring looks for real brides and are proud to unveil their latest style collection for 2016.
The team have also revealed to us their inspiration to create the looks.
The collection shows a diverse range of styles and looks to suit all brides.
From soft classic styles, Hollywood glamour to the more avant garde, there is something to suit every type of bride.
Carla Brooks of Team Glam gives us some background to each stunning Bridal look…
For Zoe we created our ‘signature’ bridal look. It’s soft, beautifying and effortlessly elegant.
Concentrating on defining her eyes, the tones opted for were neutral and beautifully blended.
There are no definite lines and all of the shading is perfectly placed to accentuate Zoe’s gorgeously large eyes.
This softly curled look was created using clip in extensions and padding for a luxurious full look.
Extensions in two shades were used to define the curl and structure the style giving that effortlessly elegant finish.
Here we created a very current bridal look; soft and pretty, using peach and sage tones on her eyes.
Airbase makeup was used on Jenny’s skin to create the perfect, flawless, HD finish.
Very soft contouring has been applied using fresh peach/apricot tones, mixing peach blush, to really emphasize Jenny’s amazing bone structure.
Her hair was tightly barrel curled, extensions added and then pinned in place over padding to created fullness at the nape. The front section was left down to frame the face.
This style is very secure whilst looking very soft and un-done which is a look that has been very popular with our real brides.
Miss Lucy S
This strong Avant Garde look was inspired from the 50s/60s with a twist; this is all about the eyes with vibrant colour, liquid eyeliner and dark brows!
A range of strong contouring, highlighting and sculpting techniques were used to really emphasize Lucy’s super skin and stunning features for a cutting edge look!
This look was finished with an ombre pink lip for a confident bride.
This is one of our more avant garde looks which show how hair can be sculpted into more elaborate sleek shapes.
Again hair extensions were used with padding, which was placed on the crown to create the volume.
For Stephanie it is all about the old school Hollywood glamour.
With the perfect hue of red on the lips, matte skin and winged eyeliner, bringing the look more up to date with the defined brows.
This is such a timeless classic that brides are still going crazy for.
What we really love about this look is that it can be adapted to a softer look during the day by toning down the lip colour.
Classic hollywood waves were created by directionally barrel curling the hair which had extensions added to create both volume and length.
The side was swept back for added interest and drama, a truly glamorous look.
Leanne is the Rock Star bride, with a heavy smokey eye and very definite black lines.
This look is to be all about bold metallics in gold and bronze.
Leanne has the most amazing skin tone that really compliments those shades and by using bronze and glow powders we we’re able to put those into her complexion as well.
An avant garde mohican inspired style created on naturally very curly hair, the hair was back-combed to create volume on this very striking style.
Small feather extensions were added for additional interest and drama.
Miss Lucy A
Taking some inspiration from Asian Bridal makeup, Lucy’s makeup was bold and confident.
Using metallic’s that are blended perfectly to really open up that almond eye shape.
Lots of highlighting techniques were used on Lucy’s skin for that flawless HD finish.
Adding a pop of colour to Lucy’s lips keep’s the overall makeup looking fresh and not to heavy.
This style used two pad and hair extensions to create the look, some blonde extensions were also used to add ‘highlights’ to the sculpted style.
This avant garde look could easily be adapted to a large chignon at the nape or statement bun.
Everything about this makeup is light and beautifying. It’s the perfect ‘No Makeup, Makeup’.
The makeup that when people see you they know your look beautiful but can’t work out why.
Lots of our bridal clients ask for a very natural look and this is exactly what has been created for Sophie. All the shades are very neutral and there are no definite lines, its, soft, blended and radiant.
Once again we used extensions to create this softly braided look, the hair was curled first use a small barrel tong to create the texture that defines the braid.
This style works well on all hair types and colours, especially when extensions in two shades are added for extra definition.
