Today I am thrilled to share Grandeur & Elegance, a stunning Stately Home Wedding Styled Shoot at Weston Park in Staffordshire.
Contemporary and vintage looks are showcased side by side to show the versatility of this gorgeous setting, and the work of some incredible Wedding Suppliers.
Susan shares the story of this wonderful shoot…
“Weston Park is a combination of fine architecture and living history standing in 1000 acres of sumptuous parklands and beautiful gardens.”
“A most welcoming stately home, much of its appeal stems from the fact that Weston Park was the beloved seat of the Earls of Bradford since the 17th Century.”
“The House is impressive from the Front Hall, with its tribute to the 3rd Earl’s love of horses, the Victorian Library furnished with over 3,000 books, the unique Gobelin tapestries, specially commissioned for the House, to the stunning Dining Room, which houses one of the country’s most impressive collections of paintings including works by renowned artists such as Sir Anthony Van Dyck.”
“The styled shoot that I did at Weston Park in Staffordshire was organised to launch my new Luxury Wedding Planner Company. (I trained with The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners.)”
“Previous to this I worked as an actress and presenter and after having my little boy 3 years ago I decided I wanted to get into Wedding planning after hiring a planner for my wedding in Italy.”
“As far as the styled shoot is concerned I obviously wanted to do something which I felt would reflect the kind of couples I’d be working with.”
“I have to say the actress in me also has a thing for a good period drama, so a stately home was a must have!!”
“I love all things glamorous but also for me it’s about ‘classic elegance’.”
“Henceforth we did in essence two different shoots in one day! It was a little epic!”
“The reason being that Weston Park actually wanted to showcase both their Orangerie and their dining room.”
“So for me I thought of it in terms of a more contemporary/ modern set up in the petty Orangerie. and then a Downton Abbey inspired look for the grandeur of Dining Room setting ”
Downton Abbey Inspired Look
Thank you so much to Susan and the collaborative team for sharing this exquisite stately home wedding styled shoot.
I love how each look is clear and distinct with pale, neutral tones for the elegance and rich dark tones for the Downton inspired shoot.
The versatility of the team and the venue shines as they create both a beautiful vintage and contemporary look side by side.
