Gorgeous Customised Hand-Painted Jackets for the bold unique Bride from SEE IT HAPPY

Today I am thrilled to share these gorgeous customised hand painted jackets for the bold unique Bride from SEE IT HAPPY.

Artisan Stacey is based in Essex and creates these amazing designs on leathers, denims and other apparel.

From your hand-painted bridal jacket to bring some baddass to your Big Day to a bag with your favourite quote on it, a pair of cool custom painted Converse or a jacket for your child with their name emblazoned on the back.

I hand you over to Stacey to tell you about her blossoming business…

Who are you, and what do you do?

I’m Stacey Thompson, the owner of SEE IT HAPPY and I hand paint custom designs on to leather and denim jackets, shoes, handbags and just about anything and everything.

I specialise in bridal designs but also dabble in designs for children’s apparel and everyday wear too.

When and why did you start your Company?

I started SEE IT HAPPY officially 5 months ago but I’ve been painting forever.

What inspires you?

It could be absolutely anything. A colour, a flower, food, a painting.

My main inspiration is my clients, they always know what they want and that’s so cool. I bounce off their ideas and incorporate my own to come up with a truly unique design for the wearer.

Do trends influence your work?

Not really. The cool thing about leather and denim jackets is they are classic and will never date.

The designs I paint are always personal to whoever wears them and whatever you covet never goes out of fashion.

Do you have a favourite wedding style?

I love quirky and unconventional weddings.

I love brides that wear jackets or trainers or huge flower crowns. I love couples that marry under macramé arches and throw away old traditions.

Anything goes these days and the most amazing thing about modern weddings is couples really bring touches of their personalities and what they love today.

It makes it even more special.

What do you love most about your Job?

I love being part of the happiest day of people’s lives.

I know it sounds cheesy but I’ve never had a bridal client that isn’t beaming with excitement. Nobody is ever in a bad mood.

Painting something bespoke for them, that they will wear on their day is truly an honour.

Painting is, and has always been, a big part of my life and it’s where I find calm and where I’m at my happiest.

Combine the two? You’ve got my dream job.

What do you do in your chill time/perfect day off?

I paint! I find chill when I do. The only thing that chills me more is a nice rainy afternoon nap.

The perfect day off would involve jumping on the train to London with Hubs, catching an art exhibition, Ladurèe for lunch, a pop to Anthropologie and the Disney Store, a theatre show and then home to snuggle on the sofa under a huge blanket.

What is your greatest achievement?

Putting myself out in to the scary world of design that leaves you open to criticism. It was a huge step for me, starting SEE IT HAPPY.

I was apprehensive if people would like what I was offering. Luckily, they do. And I haven’t looked back.

Oh, and marrying the man of my dreams. He’s a pretty decent achievement.

What do you see as the future of your Company?

I just want to carry on with what I’m doing right now. I’d love a custom order a day. That would be cool. I’d also love to do a collab with a number of different people.

I have a long list of things I want SEE IT HAPPY to do and achieve. And I’ll keep chipping away until I’ve ticked all those boxes.

Aren’t they absolutely glorious!

Thanks so much to Stacey for sharing her kickass customised hand-painted Jackets.

If you are getting wed but you aren’t that girly girl and you want something with a little more edge & personality then these beauties should be on your radar.
