Today I am thrilled to share the work of Heart Invites, an Award Winning wedding stationery business run by Lauren Armstrong, a Graphic Designer from Kent.
Lauren’s fast growing wee enterprise has been been making an impression on the Wedding world recently and it gives me great pleasure to be able to share her work with you today.
I hand you over to Lauren to tell you all about herself,
Who are you, and what do you do ?
“My name is Lauren Armstrong, I am 26 years old, married and work as a Graphic Designer in Kent.”
“I work full time for a company called Feature Design, designing all forms of printed graphics (menus, posters, flyers, logos, etc) but in my spare hours (evening and weekends) I am kept very busy working all the hours I have designing wedding stationery for my own business Heart Invites.”
When, and why did you start your Business?
“Since beginning to think about my own invites 2 years ago I found my love for wedding stationery and that is where it all began.”
“I created a basic website 18 months ago to see what interest my work would receive and as a hobby to keep me busy in my free time.”
“Over the last year in particular there has been a huge surge of interest with monthly magazine features in national wedding magazines such as Wedding Ideas, Perfect Wedding and Wedding Magazine.”
What inspires you ?
“I can pull my inspiration from all sorts of places but I find interior design is fantastic for inspiration, looking at repeat patterns, and colour palettes in particular.”
And to keep up to date with wedding trends, general flicking through wedding magazines and blogs is a great way to see what is popular with brides, what they are wearing and choosing as their venue decor has a massive influence on what stationery styles they would choose.
Do trends influence your work ?
“Yes I think in this industry you have to allow trends to influence your work to a certain extent without letting them consume your design, otherwise are you producing what brides really want?”
“Trends in bridal wear can influence textures and patterns in my designs for example, whilst popular venues and interior decor trends influence the themes I choose to base my designs around.”
What is your greatest achievement ?
“My greatest achievement is winning the Highly Commended Award for Best Wedding Newcomer in the Perfect Wedding Awards 2012.”
“To be nominated was a massive achievement for me in itself so soon since starting up the business as a ‘hobby’ but to then win an award felt incredible. Attending the Awards Ceremony in London to collect my award was a very special day for me and the business.”
Whats the future for Heart Invites ?
“If I can build on the success of the last year I hold very high hopes for Heart Invites.”
“I love every minute I spend working with my brides to ensure their stationery is every bit as beautiful as their day will be so all I can hope for is more happy brides, more beautiful stationery, and maybe a few more awards on the shelf !”

There are massive savings to be made by choosing this option, and you can print as many copies as you want!
Another great penny pincher is an E-Save the Date. Pay for the design only and Heart Invites will supply you with an e-mail friendly file to e-mail out to all your guests!
