Powerful and emotive Cinematic Wedding Films by Sean White Films

Today I am thrilled to spotlight on the powerful cinematic wedding films of Sean White.

Telling your love story through the magic of film and capturing that emotional connection is at the heart of who he is, and what he does.

He is based in Penzance, Cornwall.

I hand you over to Sean to tell you a bit more about him and his work…

Who are you, and what do you do?

Hello there! I’m Sean and I’m a wedding videographer.

I’m also a coffee obsessed father-of-two munchkins; husband to a wild-adventurer-woman;  a lover-of-people & nature addict.

I live in a very beautiful part of Cornwall, but film anywhere in the UK & nationally too.

I make wedding films that tell stories – beautiful and cinematic.

My goal is to retell the love, emotion & magic of the day, because I believe wedding days are magical and your film should feel like that.

All fuzzy, warm & floaty.

When and why did you start your Company?

Since the earliest I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with story-telling through video.

Growing up, I would steal my dad’s camera, head out with a glint in my eye to film me and my friend’s escapades (I wonder where those tapes are now…)

So it was only natural that I pursued the video world… I became a documentary film maker & photographer.

As a favour, I filmed a wedding for a friend of mine, and despite filming with a broken foot, I fell in love with it!

I loved the way it said so much about those getting married, and the feeling of making something so special made me immensely happy.

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by nature, that’s why I will always try and include it in my films!

I love stories, too. Books. Films. Art. Music. They all tell stories.

Most of all, my wife Joanna inspires me to open my eyes to new things. For me, film making is a lot about open mindedness & freedom.

Do trends influence your work?

I really respect people pushing the creative boundaries of their art and have worked a lot on finding my own style as a videographer and film maker.

I watch so many wedding films myself but have never felt like I follow trends. If I see something I like and it inspires me I’ll definitely borrow it, but if it’s gimmicky I’ll keep well clear as it’s not who I am as a person.

Do you have a favourite wedding style?

Yes! I love anything bold, brave & adventurous – People who express themselves and who they are on their wedding day are my favourites.

I love the diversity of weddings – no two are ever the same – but it’s always so special when people really try hard to share their emotions, hopes & dreams.

What do you love most about your Job?

Meeting new people first and foremost.

It all comes back to the story of people, I want to know what makes them tick and to see how they do that is a beautiful thing!

Secondly, it has to be the moment I deliver the film and know people are about to be taken straight back to their magical day…

What do you do in your chill time/perfect day off?

Believe it or not, I actually make video blogs!

I am currently working on making films for my children of their adventures growing up in Cornwall.

My plan is to create an archive of films of us as a family & to share it with them both when they turn 18… Imagine their faces!

What is your greatest achievement?

Growing and nourishing my family – My wife Joanna is literally my best friend. I couldn’t live without her.

Sometimes it’s easy to let life flow forwards without reflecting on how lucky I am, but I truly feel spoilt to have a little group of people to call my family.

What do you see as the future of your Company?

I want to keep honing my craft and developing as a story teller; I’m always learning and love finding new ways of capturing events as they unfold.

The more I explore Cornwall and Devon, the more inspired I am by them, and I’d love to work with some couples to make elopements in the furthest and wildest parts of the South West.
