Supplier Spotlight – Purple and Pearls Designs

I have known the lovely Laura Shamel for what seems like an age.

Laura was one of the first Brides I spoke to on Twitter, and it was a fabulous experience to be able to share the journey with her.

Since then Laura has married and set up a brand new Stationery Business that I am incredibly excited to share with you today.

I had a wee chat with Laura to find out about the Purple and Pearls Brand,

What is it you do, and what services do you offer ?

“Purple and Pearls offers quirky and beautiful wedding and occasion stationery. I offer packages that can be tailored to suit all pockets and can also work closely with brides to offer bespoke options.”

When, and why did you start your business ?

“Purple and Pearls started earlier this year, (although I’ve been blogging since 2009) I started my business because I love designing.”

“I created my own stationery for my wedding in 2010 and I have been designing ever since. I had such praise over our invitations and because of that I had requests for bespoke invitations, so I decided to take the leap and go into business!”

What inspires you ?

“Everything and anything! I can find ideas everywhere. My annual family holiday to Padstow in Cornwall inspired my design “Like a Lighthouse” and my love for chalkboards helped develop the “I heart Chalkboard” design.”

What is your greatest achievement ?

“I’m very proud of my blog www.purpleandpearls.co.uk – what started out as an online diary for myself turned into something much bigger. I was named in the top 100 wedding blogs in the UK and have made appearances in the top tweeters too!”

Whats the future for your Business ?

“To further improve my designs and be inspired by future clients to create new designs and hopefully new product ideas.”

“I’ll also be launching a new range of baby announcement cards, baby shower invites and more! Watch this space!”

Laura shares some of her creative designs,

Carnival

 Chalkboard

Felicity

Hugs and Kisses

Lighthouse

Peacock

Summer

And some gorgeous Celebration stationery that she did for a friends childs Naming Day

Thanks so much to Laura for sharing her fresh new designs and her creativity. I am sure that Purple and Pearls will go really far.

I particularly love “Summer”,  the brightness of the yellow is happy making as soon as you see it.
