You know me and my love of Tartan, so when these stunning images of incredible Scottish Inspired Millinery from Beretkah landed in my inbox I was practically beside myself.
Perfect for the fashion forward Bride, bridesmaid or Wedding Guest their design captures the spirit of our glorious country and brings it full on into the future and I am in love.
Inspired by Scotland and made in collaboration with one of Scotland’s leading fashion brands Tartan Spirit , this new collection of head wear by Tatiana Ashakova and her brand Beretkah reflects on traditional Scottish treasures: heritage and history.
Tatiana, a self-taught milliner who now resides in Berlin pays her tribute to the support this country provided for her in establishing herself as a hat maker so this collection bears the meaningful name of “Tartan Tribute”.
Hats and Headpieces from Tartan Tribute range are hand made by Tatiana.
Blocked cocktail hats are covered with luxurious tartan silks and velvet that the brand Tartan Spirit together with its unique tartan uses to create its fashion collections.
Pheasant feathers and massive detail with colorful rhinestones bring the Scottish royal spirit forward, however a very modern take on its character distinguishes this collection.
The collection was shot in Overtoun House who kindly offered this location famous for being filmed in “The Cloud Atlas” in 2012.
10% from sales of this collection of head pieces will be donated to the Overtoun House Christian Centre.
Thanks to Tatiana for sharing her Scottish inspired Millinery collection.
I love how they encapsulate our culture and our style without being twee, and would make a bold statement for any Bride wanting to celebrate her heritage.
