I hand you over to Jim to tell you about his blooming Business…

Who are you, and what do you do?

“My name is Jim Cadogan, I am a freelance illustrator and portraitist from North Devon.”

“I transform wedding photos into realistic, yet cartoon-styled illustrations in a digitally painted manner.”

“These are usually portraits.”

When and why did you start your Company?

“I’ve been doing these types of illustrations for a year now and was inspired to move into the Wedding industry earlier this year.”

“It’s a very busy industry, one that compliments my work in other fields.”

What inspires you?

“Do you know what? Success inspires me.”

“I just tried to rack my brains to think of inspirational things that go around in my mind, but all it boils down to this; I want to be successful at what I enjoy doing the most.”

Do trends influence your work?

“No not really. I try to keep to the same style throughout all of my work.”

“No, I don’t believe I change my work by what’s trending and ‘popular’ at that time.”

What is your greatest achievement?

“My son, I have a very bright, cheeky and intelligent 8 year old son.”

“And also, travelling as much as I have, I feel that I have seen and been through a lot in my 20’s (I’m 29 now), and it has helped me become the man I am now; with the knowledge and drive that I have for my budding career.”

What do you see as the future of your Company?

“I’d like to be creating work for everyone and anyone on a daily basis.”

“I just want to be successful in it, I’ve always visioned myself having a really cool den style office that has my work and tools and computers scattered around it.”

“I want to work towards being the ‘go to’ person when it comes to imagery in the wedding industry, one day I hope to be!”
