Vintage Inspired Accessories for colour loving Brides from To Be Adorned

Today I am thrilled to share the gorgeous Vintage Inspired Accessories of To Be Adorned perfect for the Bride that loves a dash of colour in her Big Day.

Crochet goes to another level of beautiful and if alternative is your thing and you want to inject a huge injection of personality into your day then these pretty products are fabulous.

I hand your over to Rebecca Parker to tell you about her work…

Who are you, and what do you do?

I’m Becca, the Bristol-based designer-maker behind To Be Adorned.

I create vintage-inspired accessories for snappy dressers and colour-loving brides.

That’s everything from colourful birdcage veils and crochet ring pillows to pearl garters and alternative bouquets.

Everything’s made by me using crochet or hand sewing techniques, and I use vintage or thrifted materials wherever possible.

When and why did you start your Company?

I launched my Etsy shop on my birthday in October 2016.

After doing a degree in textiles and working in a wedding boutique and then craft publishing, something was brewing.

I DIY-ed my own wedding, and then I knew it was time to get my own creations out there, to create the kind of things I wish I’d been able to find when I was a bride-to-be.

What inspires you?

My designs are primarily inspired by vintage fashion and antique jewellery, although colour certainly plays a big role.

Do trends influence your work?

My aim is always to come up with something totally unique, but trends can often spark an idea or new colourway.

It’s more about how I can put a new spin on it.

Do you have a favourite wedding style?

Colourful, creative big days are my favourite ones to be involved with, where the couple are unashamedly themselves and aren’t afraid to do things in their own way.

What do you love most about your job?

Happy brides are by far the best part of the job, when they’re over-the-moon with their To Be Adorned accessories.

It’s always an honour to be part of someone’s wedding day.

Time spent at my little desk designing and making comes in a close second, and I also love getting creative with fellow wedding suppliers on photoshoots or collaborations.

What do you do in your chill time/perfect day off?

I still have a job in publishing so time off is really precious.

You’ll find me dabbling in yoga, running or embroidery to relax, and if I’ve got a whole day? It’ll be knitting and Netflix, followed by a bit of garden pottering.

What do you see as the future of your company?

What’s next for to Be Adorned? More creative accessories (I’ve even got some Christmas pretties in mind), and hopefully more collaborations and custom pieces – they’re my favourite to work on!

Thanks so much to Becca for sharing her stunning Vintage Inspired Accessories, aren’t they stunning!

Watch this space for more unique headdresses and garters….
