Wedition Personalised Magazine – Capturing the magic of your Celebration

Today I have pleasure to introduce Wedition, a way to capture the essence of your celebrations and special moments and present it within your own personalised magazine.

This unique, bespoke, personal and extremely versatile magazine is perfect as a wedding favour and also as a platform for you to share the details of your wedding, include the menu, order of service and readings, introduce the bridal party and much more giving your guests some fantastic conversation starters and talking points.

I hand over to Liz Gatherer to tell you more…

Who are you, and what do you do?

Hi, my name is Liz and I provide unique favours and invitations for special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, christenings and corporate events in the form of magazines!

When and why did you start your Company?

When Ky (my husband) and I were searching for a suitable wedding favour for our wedding in 2016 we had a few concerns.

We were worried about the cost; we felt that people might leave the chosen favours behind; we thought our guests may not appreciate the favour; and if we provided an edible favour then it would soon be gobbled up and forgotten.

We wanted a favour that enhanced our day….and so Wedition was born!

We built a magazine incorporating all the fun details and personal touches for guests to look out for on our day; we introduced our wedding party; we shared the history of our incredible venue and we incorporated the menu which saved us from printing out more stationery.

The feedback from our family and friends was astounding, in March 2017 I attended my first wedding fair and that is the day I count as the official start date of the company.

What inspires you?

My customers! I LOVE to meet as many of my couples in person as possible. I find that when I chat to them face-to-face about their wedding plans and wedding day ideas I am able to come up with brilliant ideas to go into their copy of Wedition.

When I can’t meet my customers face-to-face because we live too far apart then we will get to know each other via email, Skype, phone call or FaceTime.

Do trends influence your work?

The colour scheme and themes are governed by my customers, you could say because of this trends affect my work indirectly.

Do you have a favourite wedding style?

Quirky. Has to be!

Wedition is quirky and this means that my customers are always after that something a little bit different, something that has the edge.

What do you love most about your Job?

Collecting the first draft from the printers!

I work so hard on each Wedition, it is always an exciting journey when I collect the very first hard copy.

My customers get to see their Wedition printed off in various states of completion so there are never any surprises, they know exactly what the final copy will look like.

I also love seeing the photos of my customers on the day of their wedding, hearing about their day and finding out what their guests thought of their unique wedding favour!

What do you do in your chill time/perfect day off?

Day off? At the moment, I live, breath and dream Wedition! I am so passionate about my company.

I do take some time out though, to look after my flock of ex-commercial hens from the British Hen Welfare Trust.

I volunteer for the charity as a designated ‘poorly hen carer’ as well as an educator, I go into schools and run workshops on all thing chicken and egg!

My other passion is my local outdoor fitness group, Freshfit. It is a huge amount of fun and a great way to let off some steam!

What is your greatest achievement?

Becoming the National Newcomer of the Year 2018 at The Wedding Industry Awards.

What do you see as the future of your Company?

I am keen to work on some more corporate magazines, my first corporate customer was Kiko Matthews, she is the woman’s world record holder for rowing solo 3000 miles across the Atlantic!

It was a lot of fun working on the magazine for her event and I would like to do more of that.

Wedition in a bit more detail…

Personalised magazines which can be used as an on-the-day wedding favour. Styled to your colour scheme and theme, incorporating anything you like.

Perhaps you will save some money by including the order of service and menu.

You may like to have a few icebreakers in there such as ‘meet the wedding party’ or a Mr and Mrs style quiz. Articles can be witten from your pet’s point of view and am always keen to try out any ideas that my customer can come up with!

Wedition is also the ideal invitation solution for destination, weekend, or festival weddings.

In one handy magazine I can include all the details that your guests need to know.

Venue details, map and directions; accommodation options; meal choices; flight details; housekeeping notes (such as ‘wear flat shoes’, ‘bring a towel’, ‘do not post pictures on social media until the next day’); cut out RSVP or an interactive code for guests to scan and respond to over the internet. And so much more!

Another really sweet touch with Wedition is that you can post it to guests who wanted to come but couldn’t make it, you can post it so it arrives the same day as your wedding and it will mean the world to them.

Good information to know…

Wedition is printed at a chemical free printers on FSE certified paper.
