Fairyhill ~ A stunning Welsh Wedding Venue where rich history meets 21st Century cool

Today I am thrilled to spotlight on Fairyhill, a stunning Welsh Wedding Venue where modern luxury meets traditional grandeur.

Tucked away secretly at the heart of the glorious Gower peninsula the Venue cleverly combines a pinch of 21st century cool with the charm and character of a historic house, and the contrast is something quite amazing.

From the rich history of their Grade II listed mansion to the K Room, a contemporary glass function space you can have the best of both worlds.

A something old and something new brought together to form the perfect venue.

Fairyhill has benefitted from recent investment by The Oldwalls Collection reopening in March to unveil a stunning 21st century transformation, complete with the 184 square metre modern glass extension to the west wing of the house.

The first floor of this new extension was specially designed to host exclusive weddings and events while the ground floor was marked as bedrooms and was set for development in 2019.

However as a result of Fairyhill’s rapid growth, the owners are now set to complete the ground floor refit on 1st November 2018.

Quaint on the outside, and lavish on the inside the beautiful Georgian mansion has 11 bedrooms, a stylish bar and an AA rosette restaurant, a stunning lounge area, and a private cottage.

The K room as an extension of this provides a modern twist, and its panoramic circular array of windows creates a kaleidoscope effect.

The thinking behind this impressive room is that it inspires thoughts of a fantastical portal that will take a myriad of happy couples “through the looking glass” to their magical dream wedding.

This light-filled space is licensed to host your civil ceremony and offers uncompromising views of the breath-taking gardens.

For your reception the venue holds 150 during the day, and up to 300 at night and Fairyhills exclusivity means that the venue will be all yours for the duration of your wedding experience.

Guests are well accommodated too with 11 bedrooms available in the main house, alongside the venues self catering cottage, the Coach House.

The K Room bedrooms will also be available in November increasing the Venues capacity to 20 bedrooms accommodating 44 persons.
Guest can also book Oldwalls Rustic Retreat properties which are based offsite and can cater to an extra 25 guests.

Fairyhill is just as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside with 24 acres of grounds so impressive that they’re also listed.

You can explore the walled garden, play on the manicured lawn, and discover the woodland and enchanting lake guaranteed to steal your heart.

To give you a visual of the Venue and its versatility I share this beautiful film…

To help you visualise the magic of Fairyhill their next monthly Wedding Showcase on Sunday, 28th October 2018, 12pm – 5pm.

This will provide you with the best opportunity to explore the house, and what’s more, they will be offering you the chance to see Fairyhill’s latest transformation, the K Room with your own eyes.

Sample the canapés, taste the wine and experience the views and the possibilities for your own Big Day.
