Fancy Taylor Swift singing at your reception? What about the Rolling Stones? Kanye? It’s all within the realms of possibility, well as long as you have a few quid to spare.

Here’s a wee run down of some of the prices we found for hiring a few of your favourite artists to play at your wedding, and how they match up compared to the Elite Bands lineup.

Artist: Your mate and his iPhone – £0

The sound won’t be up to much, and you should be prepared for the constant interruption of message alerts during your first dance!

It should be fine though, well at least until you have to spend half an hour frantically asking round for a phone charger.

Artist: Elite Bands DJ – £120 – £500

We offer a selection of different DJ packages specifically catered to your needs – AKA getting people up and dancing!

This can be a short one hour DJ set after the band, or a full evening of party music played through a powerful PA system

Artist: Hollie B (solo act) – £550 (local)

Hollie B is an incredible performer and has toured with some impressive acts over the years, so she has the experience and talent to deliver an exciting and massively professional performance!

Her solo act is completely selfcontained, with an impressive P.A. and lighting system to create the perfect atmosphere for you and your guests.

With the option to become a duo with alongside a professional DJ, Hollie works the stage at large to small events, weddings to corporate functions, and knows exactly how to get the crowd up and dancing along!

Artist: The Lockhearts (three piece) – £1100

The Lockhearts are an indescribably good, three piece covers band, that will have you smiling and stepping on to the dance floor before they even hit the chorus!

Lead singer Alex’s voice has been likened to Bryan Adams, and rightly so!

They were recently honoured to be asked to play before the Scotland game at the Six Nations Rugby in front of 60,000 people! These guys are truly awesome musicians!

Book quickly as they’re already having an in-demand 2015!

Artist: The Cartel (four piece) – £1250

The Cartel are an amazing four piece band, who we are are proud to say are one of the orginal elite bands! These guys are super experienced
and fronted by the very charismatic Chris Suckle.

They have a massive range of songs in their set list, from the classics of the 50’s to the latest chart topping hits! They are one of the
best wedding bands around and a must-see live if we do say so ourselves.

Artist: The Brightside (five piece) – £1400

The Brightside play rock, soul, funk, disco, dance, swing, and pretty much anything you tap your foot along to! Music from the 1950’s through
to the present day, and they love to bring down the house with their famous mash-ups!

This truly special line up of five incredibly talented musicians creates The Brightside who’ve played at eventsand weddings with a few hundred to centre pitch at Murrayfield to over 60,000 people!

Artist: Coolio – £14,000

Seriously guys, Coolio! Playing at your wedding! For £14,000 + you can get a set that we can only assume is ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ played on a loop for an hour and a half.  The stuff memories are made of…
£50,000

Artist: The Proclaimers – £50,000

For a performance from Leith’s finest, surely worth it alone for 500 Miles, which would have everyone from the wee kids to your Gran up dancing!

Artist: Kanye West – $400,000-$600,000

‘Gold digger’ might win the award for worst first dance song ever, but Yeezus is sure to put on a memorable show, at least until he starts interrupting everyone’s speeches.

Artist: Taylor Swift  – $1 Million

A cool $1 million to hire Miss Swift for the night might seem a bit steep, but look she only sold 3 & ahalf million albums in the last year AND she’s missing those sweet, sweet Spotify royalties, so cut her some slack.

The first dance to ‘We are never ever getting back together’ would be a memorably inappropriate one if nothing else!

Artist: The Rolling Stones – £5 Million

For £5 million we’d be expecting to get to choose the set list (‘Miss You’ or we’re going home!), have Keith Richards teach us a few chords and the ghost of Brian Jones making a guest appearance on guitar!

Whatever you decide, we recommend coming along to one of the elite bands live multi-band showcases!

The next one is on June 24th at the Classic Grand in Glasgow – full details and tickets available here: Elite Bands Showcase
