A beautiful and fun snowy woodland engagement shoot

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful and fun snowy woodland engagement shoot.

There is something magical about snow.

When you take out the inconvenience aspect it can cause and go back to child like thinking of snowballs and sledging it becomes all the more fun.

It paints a beautiful picture for capturing amazing wintery images, and it has a mushy slushy romantic allure.

Images of the day were captured by Luke Holroyd Photography.

Luke Holroyd is a Professional Photographer based in Leeds capturing Weddings across the UK & Overseas.

His work is both imaginative and natural and he absolutely loves doing something that I can be so creative with.

Most of the couples who choose to book him for their big day are looking for a photographer who is a little bit more relaxed and creative than the traditional approach to Wedding Photography.

He loves capturing couples who really enjoy being creative, surrounded by their awesome family & friends

I hand over to beautiful Bride to be Suzanne…

How did you meet?…

I’d actually secretly fancied Mat from afar for a while!

I’d known of him through school but he’s a few years above me so we’d never actually spoken.

He’s pretty reserved and I thought he was way to cool to speak to me (I’m totally punching).

So I’m on tinder and there he is, swiped right and we went on our first date a few days later… a true modern day love story always starts with swiping right on tinder!

I remember the exact moment I fell in love with him.

He took me to a local JP Cooper gig and cuddle danced right into my heart, that was it, he had to stay mine!

Tell us about the Proposal…

He proposed in March, it was supposed to be on my birthday but he couldn’t wait.

We were staying in a hotel in Chester, and were about to leave for dinner and he told me to sit down.

He started to tell me how beautiful I looked and how he loved me and I knew something was coming because I’d never seen him look so emotional (but shhhh don’t tell the lads).

He gave me my birthday card, and told me to open it and there in big bold unmissable writing was the word FIANCÉE .

I was far too excited and completely missed how he’d tied my engagement ring where a little paper ring should have hung, he had to tell me to look at the front again then he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife.

I, of course said yes!!!

Tell us about your shoot and why you chose the location…

When Luke offered to do a pre wedding shoot I was super happy as we’re both a bit awkward with posing, which was one of the reasons we asked Luke to do our photos, his photos never look forced.

We decided to have our pre wedding shoot behind our home in Blidworth.

Blidworth Woods holds a lot of special memories for us. Mat spent a lot of his childhood with his grandparents on bike rides there, we’ve been on countless walks around with the dogs, and made a lot of memories in our pretty little woodland escape

Thanks to Luke for sharing this beautiful shoot which just captures the couples passion and emotion so well.

It also proves that it may be freezing outside but where there is love you always have a safe warm haven.
