On a cold day a brisk midwinter walk can blow the cobwebs away and freshen the mind so today I am delighted to share this wintery engagement shoot shot in beautiful Lytham St Annes.
The Bride & Groom to be are the lovely Shelly & Kirk who wanted to have a shoot that consisted of wintery walks and sparkly lights.
They are getting married on May 1st 2015 at St. Kentigern’s Church and having their reception at Staining Lodge Golf Club.
Images were captured by Fairclough Photography.
Fairclough Photography are Katie and James Fairclough, a husband and wife team based in Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire who found each other at the local photographic society.
Their approach is relaxed, and they work together as a Mr & Mrs team to create a visual story of a couples special day.
On the morning of the wedding, Katie captures all of the goings on with the Bride and the bridal party, whilst James hangs out with the Groom and co. photographing as things happen.
They then come together to capture the rest of the day as it unfolds.
This is the story of Kirk’s proposal to Shelly:
“We went to Bruges in December as we’re Christmas mad and Kirk wanted to propose on the ice rink that’s there but there was a school trip, plus he thought I’d lose a finger if he did it on there!”
“There’s a big park and he pretended to lose his Euros and was looking in his pockets for ages.”
“So he said “you just sit on this bench” and then said “I can’t find my Euros, but I’ve found this”…TA DA! and popped out a gorgeous Engagement ring.”
Thank you so much to Katie and James for sharing this lovely Wintery Engagement shoot.
At this time of year there is so much sparkle and the air is so crisp and its lovely to get bundled up in your cosy layers and explore.
Love the gorgeous atmospheric images and a sprinkle of snow just adds to the magic…
