A pretty seaside inspired Engagement Shoot on the Teeside Coast

Today I am thrilled to share this pretty seaside inspired Engagement Shoot on the Teeside Coast.

Images were captured by Anna Wood Photography.

Anna Wood is a Portrait and Wedding photographer in Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds, West Yorkshire.

She has been shooting professionally since 2011, and can’t imagine doing anything else.

Her photography is inspired by the colours and tones of the British seaside. She likes the greys and blues of the horizon, and the muted tones of the seafront.

She also likes a splash of colour, like the sort you would find in beach huts or a jazzy stick of rock. The tones of Kodak film replicate these in her work.

Human emotion is at the centre of all that she does.

She believes that our ability to love and be loved is astounding, and she wants to document that to create physical memories.

Anna says of the couple and their shoot…

“Chloe and Angus live by the sea in Hartlepool, Teeside.”

“I am a wedding photographer based in Yorkshire but I am always happy (well, delighted really!) to travel to the coast.”

“As I left Yorkshire and entered into beautiful Teeside I got more and more excited.”

“I could see the rain was ending and the most beautiful light was appearing. I knew their shoot was going to be amazing.”

“I first met Chloe when we worked at the same wedding together – she is a very talented make-up artist who is originally from West Yorkshire.”

“We have been friends ever since the first wedding we worked at together.”

“Like me, Chloe is a very homely person, loving nothing more than to curl up on the sofa in her dressing gown and pyjamas.”

“She also loves bright colours, afternoon tea and all things Disney.”

“I was so excited when she told me Angus proposed whilst they were travelling in Rome and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year.”

“Chloe and Angus have been together since they were 17.”

“They laughed as they told me how Angus was totally into Chloe when they met at a summer camp in North Yorkshire, but he didn’t dare talk to her!”

“It wasn’t until they got home and Chloe sent him a message that they properly started talking.”

“Within a few weeks, they were on their first date and have been together since.”

“They have had a long distance relationship until Chloe left Yorkshire and moved to Hartlepool a couple of years ago.”

“They finally bought their first house last month, and it was a pleasure to see their new home.”

“Chloe and Angus chose to do their engagement shoot on the beach a short walk from their house.”

“This was my first coastal engagement shoot and I was so excited!”

“The beach is my absolute favourite place to be and these two were a pleasure to photograph.”

“We started with some paddling before moving into the sand dunes.”

“We then had a little walk past the shops and took some photographs at the fair. We finished the evening photographing in the beautiful wild flowers opposite the beach.”

hank you to Anna for sharing this pretty seaside inspired engagement shoot.

What stunning images, precious moments captured in time.

Lovely  walks along the sand hand in hand with the sound of the waves, the call of the sea has a beautiful romanticism.
