Today I am delighted to share the lovely York Engagement Shoot of Anna and Liam captured beautifully by the Colin Murdoch Studio.
The historic city of York is stunning with fantastic architecture and a delightful tangle of little streets and is the perfect place to make some memories.
The Colin Murdoch Studio is a husband and wife team who work closely together to tell the story of your day, and leave you with beautiful, natural images to be cherished for years to come.
Their aim is for clients to feel comfortable in front of the camera no matter who they are or what they do, because when they do that they know they will be creating images you’ll be thrilled with.
Colin and Heather are constantly exploring new techniques to bring to their photography, and love to shoot using good old-fashioned film photography as well as digital, and where possible using a mix of both.
Colin and Heather truly believe that your wedding photos grow more valuable over time especially as they’re one of the only tangible things you can take away from that day.
They are based in Skipton, North Yorkshire but happily cover a wide area including Yorkshire, Lancashire and further afield if you want them to (in fact, they will go anywhere for a good wedding!)
I pass over the lovely Bride to be Anna to tell us about her wee love story,
How did you meet?
“We met the modern way.. via an online dating site!”
“The first time we locked eyes was on Scarborough Train Station – very romantic!”
When did you get engaged?
“Liam proposed on 21st April 2013 – not on one knee mind.”
“I had been tutoring a fitness course all weekend and so arrived home in my tracksuit bottoms and hair scraped back to be met with a ‘game’ (as Liam put it).”
“Liam had arranged a treasure hunt around the house.”
“I was finally greeted with a heart stone, inked with ‘Marry Me’ ‘Forever Yours Mr T’. A very big but amazing shock!”
“My honest reply was ‘Are you kidding me?’ (with more fragrant language), followed by a big ‘YES’ ”
When and where are you getting married?
“We are getting married on the 4th May 2014 at the Ox Pasture Hall, Scarborough.”
Thanks to Colin and Heather for sharing their wonderful imagery and this romantic York Engagement Shoot.
York is such an interesting city with so much history and I would think a fantastic place to start making your own history.
And what better way that capturing love on film.
